The real truth is because there is a group of people that believe in this weird fucking thing called "Equality of outcome." In simple it means that they believe the results of all things should be shared equally across a cherry-picked selection of categories which typically include Race, Sexuality, and Gender. So when anything in the world is successful and the results are skewed in any of these categories, ESPECIALLY when the results involved STRAIGHT WHITE MALES, they claim corruption. We just don't see them much in the games because it's on the other side of the fiery mountains and the game maps and settings have been relatively limited. TW3 took place mostly in Velen, which is a region known for discriminating against anyone who isn't white or human so obviously Korathi and Zerrikanian people wouldn't be fucking around there. Then there is the beef people have with Triss and Yen. Ana Schaffer isn't even black, she has dark skin and most of her heritage is German. In the books Triss's hair isn't even red, it's auburn which is a shade of red brown. If you look at Anna's hair in the scenes that aren't dark as fuck you can actually see she has auburn highlights anyway. As for Anya Chalotra as yen, she is technically Indian, but who gives a flying fuck she doesn't even look Indian in the show. Furthermore, who gives a flying fuck because Yen is a cunt anyway. Don't listen to /b's opinions on anything involving The Witcher most people on this board are either trolling or aren't familiar with the lore.

That's not true at all, medieval Europe was not very diverse at all.. unless you include other white Europeans or Mediterranean traders. TBH I'm fine with the Triss casting because she's pretty inconsequential in the books anyway. Fringilla is the only casting choice that I honestly don't understand for the exact reason you just mentioned. But, that being said, it's not a clone of the book so they took liberties and I can pretty much guarantee you they would never get into Geralt fucking Fringilla anyway, so I'm not too worried about it. Her performance was very cardboard-y though. I feel like Anna's performance is largely situational though. She's a good actor, they just need to give her more to work with and more screen time.

Also it's impossible to say there aren't any black elves when they were displaced during the Conjuction of the Spheres and displaced all over the continent. Elves exist in all different cultures and mythologies, and some are black, EG Dark Elves in germanic lore, so it's possible.
