I knew for the most part what I was getting into, not saying that it's great. But I have read a lot worse manga's. I mean it has a lot of shit characters that do a lot of shit things. No one in that manga or anime is a good person or even more then a basic character out side of the guy that they kinda focus on. The whole thing is basically just abuse, trauma, regret and last but not least death. I'm just saying that if you know what it's about then it's not really that shocking for about 85% of it.

oh were you just focusing on the anime? Ya knot going to lie it was bad and skipped a lot of that happened in the manga. aka the skipped a lot of rape, murder and just torture.
But like I said I had read most of the manga before I even watched the anime. If you want an okay and a bit of an odd contrast compared to one or the other. I would really recommend Shiki. Because the manga puts a lot of detail into the art the anime kinda put focus into a different part of the story.
