I think an answer not many will argue with is that this all comes down to perspective. I believe in God. So, I see life very differently than someone who doesn't believe in God (or someone who believes in a different deity or god). I don't believe in God because:

>I went to church and grew up in a church environment
>It was my favorite religion

If I didn't sincerely believe that Yeshua (Jesus) were the Way, the Truth, and the Life, I'd align myself with the ancient gods of my forefathers (if any gods at all). Oden, Freyja, Loki, etc. A warrior path where the "faithful" are prided on strength and their ability to crush their enemies. For those that aren't sure why the Norse prided and cherished strength, I'll give a very brief explanation: Ragnarok (called the Twilight of the Gods) is the "end times" battle at the "end of the world", correct? The gods and the giants will wage war and there will be a great battle to the death. Frigga foresaw that Oden and Thor would not make it as Thor would be pierced through (or cut) by the tooth of Jörmungandr (the World Serpent) and Fenrir will take victory over Oden. The gods enlist the help of Mankind to assist them in this great battle. So, basically, the entire point of our lives leading up to this great battle is to be strong. It truly is a "Warrior Religion" through to it's core. Your whole life is leading up to the great "Battle of the Gods". NOTHING is more important than your own strength. This is why warriors are so heavily honoured in their religion. If I didn't sincerely believe Christ and the Bible were the truth, I would instead take up the axe and hammer and raise a toast to the gods of my Germanic and Swedish fathers. I was never raised in any church, my parents never taught me the Bible, or prayer, or any of it. Most of my friends were atheists.

I don't believe in God for ANY of the reasons most atheists (or really, non-theists) think. I believe for a number of reasons, and not one of the reasons they think I believe have anything to do with it.

I don't really know. I just kind of exist and if I popped out of existence and my memory was erased from the minds of everything, I wouldn't care.

For me, I've had what some might call "otherworldly experiences". The thing is, I never ask anyone to believe me and I can understand if they don't. I'm simply telling the truth. I've got no reason to lie about what I've encountered and experienced in my personal "walk". My life has also been improved in different areas as a result of my faith. I've learned a great deal and have become wiser for it. Actually, as I have said before on here to other anons: I'm never surprised when an atheist tells me they don't believe in God. I know that they haven't experienced Him yet. They haven't experienced it for themselves. And this is the truth. While there are many people who don't believe in God (or gods), there are plenty of people who do. And there is no shortage of people who come together and share their "ghost stories" (as it were). There are many people with a story to tell about spirits or experiencing things that really, by all "rational" accounts, "could not" or "should not" have happened or been possible. I hope you get to have one of these life changing experiences for yourself.

You pick something, then you apply yourself.
You will find your interest in that thing and its adjacent topics will pull at you. Thus your horizon will expand and life will then be a long fulfilment of curiosity and accumulated knowledge.

If god did exist and did put on a miraculous experience for me, id first question the chances of it being coincidental, then id question my senses/sanity. If hell did exist, im definitely going there for being way too untrustworthy.
