So I had to destroy my best OC a year and a half ago, after having a scare and thinking I was caught. It ended up being nothing, but I lost it regardless, and I've only been getting pretty mediocre OC for the past year.
I'm going to be sharing both a hostel room and a private bathroom with 8 women and 2 other guys in a month. The women are some of the best looking I've ever seen, and I need to step up my game beforehand. All my current cams have pretty limited battery life.

Yeah I'm probably going to add some one-way foil inside. When used properly it should 100% conceal the camera on that one. Get the CamON Live Streaming app on your phone.
In the settings:
Camera: Set the resolution to 1920x1080, focus mode to Fixed
RTSP (H264/AAC): Set the quality to 3000kbps (lower if you have a shit router) and Speed to 60 fps (again, lower if you have a shit router)
Information: Look under "Main local network addresses" and copy it.
Once that's open, go to VLC on your PC. File > Open Network Stream, click the Network tab, type in rtsp://phoneIP:8080/video/h264
phoneIP = See "Information" above. Should look like 192.168.1.x or something similar.
Then in VLC, click the little arrow next to the play button, and click "Convert".
Tick "Display the output", then click "Browse", type in anything, click save, then "Start".
You can now spy on people by just leaving your phone around somewhere, while you're watching on your PC, and they have no way of finding out.

The bare minimum would be to drill a hole for the pinhole lens of the camera module, attach it to the inside of the case with hot glue. Then you'd cut the cable of the small battery that it came with (which has a tiny connector on it that plugs into the camera PCB) and solder a connectors to the other end so you can use larger batteries.
To operate the buttons you can either solder wires to the tactile switches and run wires to your own switches, or just drill tiny holes into the case so you can operate the switches with like a paper clip. That's obviously the easier method.
I recharge the battery packs externally using a TP4056 module. The connectors are JST connectors that are also used for model helicopters.
Periodically I just swap out the battery and micro SD card.
Pro tip: Never ever lose your SD cards. Keep them somewhere safe in a little container and always know where that container is. Not knowing where you left the cards is terrifying.

Really it's mostly about making a small hole for the lens and connecting a larger battery. The rest is nice to have, but ultimately it doesn't matter whether you can operate the buttons from the outside or whether you need to open the cam to turn it on or off. If the battery life is good enough, you can do all that well ahead of time and just leave the cam running for the day.

Soldering iron, a set of male/female JST connectors, hot glue, lead solder, a sponge to clean the iron, some heat shrink tubing or electrical tape and a larger li-ion battery. 18650s from laptop batteries work, or cell phone batteries. A multimeter might be handy if you're putting several cells in parallel and want to make sure they're all at the same voltage. And one of those $1 TP4056 modules to charge the batteries.
