Yep i'm also for going back to sla... feudalism

Everything else sucks worse.

Because most of us are its slaves

No economic theory survives contact with reality. That's why we need a mixed economy like 90% of the countries out there

What we need is a STABLE currency with minimal inflation. the more the government tries to manipulate the economy, the more it keeps distorting it ... with costs rising soon $15/hour won't be enough, then $20/hour won't be enough, etc... We should be aiming to keep the prices of things as STABLE as possible. That's the best way to stimulate growth, just by keeping things stable and predictable.

Rather than trying to prevent inflation and prevent an inevitable recession, the government needs to allow this recession (part of the natural economic cycle) to occur. interest rates need to be allowed to naturally rise, this will trigger a painful recession in the short-term - nonproductive businesses will close, jobs will be lost, but capital and labor will be freed up for use in other productive areas of the economy, but prevent even worse long-term pain.

We must stop quantitative easing (money printing), stop asset inflation, and allow interest rates to rise. Higher interest rates will discourage borrowing and spending, and encourage personal savings. We must restart non-debt financed capital investment in this country - the true engine of a productive, sustainable economy.

>why cant americans admit that capitalism doesnt work anymore,we need a better system

why, it seems to work for me just fine. fuck everyone else's feelings. i have a home, healthcare, family and piles of money in the bank. couldn't ask for more. well maybe less democrats.

We have one already and we're objectively the best country on earth.

We cannot BORROW and SPEND our way to prosperity.

No country in the history of the world has been able to BORROW indefinitely.

Bailing out failed banks seemed like the right thing to do at the time... but it's becoming apparent that nothing was "saved" and nothing was "solved"... we just kicked the can further down the road. yes we postponed a crisis and what surely would have followed - a large correction and recession. but we added a massive amount of long-term debt to bail out failing banks, all in a misguided effort to avoid short-term pain. we should have never done that...

Our generation has since become addicted to the artificial booms fueled by politicians pushing cheap money solutions, rather than any substantive improvement in the economy. Each round of stimulus is a shot in the arm aimed to "keep the party going". Each shot means more borrowing and less savings, more spending and more consumption - more excess, while eroding away our valuable manufacturing and capital investment capacity while adding significantly to our national debt. Combined with misguided attempts to "rescue" failing banks, automakers, etc. during the financial crisis, we have effectively transformed our economy into one filled with unproductive businesses, preventing that capital and labor from being freed up and employed elsewhere in the economy.

We are in the middle of a massive asset inflation bubble that has roots that predate this administration and the one before it. The current Fed appointee (Powell) is simply re-inflating the bubble instead of allowing the market to correct. The present course spells disaster. At this point, all our politicians can do is keep borrowing and spending, to keep delaying the inevitable. However, the time is rapidly approaching when this will no longer be an option.

Begone Libertarian

This for the most part

the capitalistits are in control what are we going to do about it we are forced to work for the capitalists to survive

Capitalism isn’t the problem, Shortsighted politicians are!

Instead of working to improve the next 4 years let’s work to improve the next 10 or 20.

Real answer? Those people in positions of power have achieved their powerful positions in the current system. You're asking the people at the table to throw away their food in the hopes the kitchen can make something not as poisonous but they've grown fat eating the slightly poisonous food and if it kills them right before it kills everybody else then that's not their problem.

Excuse me faggot?

>Capitalism isn’t the problem, Shortsighted politicians are!

Under our current crony capitalist system, corrupt sellout politicians offer up political access to the highest bidders and corporations are the beneficiaries. Rigged tax codes, favorable monopolies, exclusive deals, government contracts, crooked trusts and charities... everything is for sale and yes there will be plenty of takers.

The solution isn't getting rid of capitalism, or passing more layers of legislation... It's reducing the scope and size of government. Take the power away from politicians, return it to the state and local governments. Drastically reduce the size and scope of government. Cut spending and return to the principles of free market capitalism, which are responsible for making the US the wealthiest country on the planet with the highest standard of living the world has ever known.

>we need a better system
system isn't perfect but if you have a decent IQ and put in effort, you can take advantage of it. sorry if you're incapable of this, but the truth is you're going to be on the bottom of any system humans come up with.
