If you find this offensive, you are racist

If you find this offensive, you are racist.

The statement's literal meaning is fine, but it's been ruined by people specifically using it in a context of "...and it's not okay to be any other colour, and we'd kill you if we could get away with it", over and over and over again.

Which is the point, of course. People see these posters and voice concerns over racism; people who put up the posters say that it's an innocuous message, but people getting upset at the posters MUST be getting upset at the message, NOT what the poster is actually used for; moderate people see the poster, see the anger and tend to be drawn into the "yeah, it's kind of shitty to be mad at a poster that says it's okay to be a certain race" (which, again, the posters aren't really about), and get nudged a little bit towards the right wing bit by bit.

tl;dr - poster's literal meaning is fine, poster's actual meaning has been ruined by tards who want to make people including you, OP, look bad.

It was just meant to expose the hypocrisy of anti-white sentiment and boy did it.

If that's what it was meant to do, then mate, it's not doing that anymore. That ship sailed when it got co-opted.

This poster is the result of Cred Forums brainstorming. It was crafted specifically to be nonsuggestive, with a clear, non racist message. Even the front choice was meant to be innocuous. We did this because we knew the left media could not resist calling it racist, turning it into a conspiracy theory. Manufacturing victims where none exist. It's what they do.

It is not a dog whistle. It is not a hidden message. It is a tool to expose hypocrisy and actual systemic racism. I know all of this because I was in the thread that created the poster. And you are just a fool that bought into the left media's bullshit narrative.

Im not sure what you’re on about or that you are so delusional you think you can explain the meaning of this poster better than it says itself.
The truth is there is minority privilege, specifically black privilege not available to whites in this modern society. A lot of hate being openly voiced towards white people that isn’t being challenged, those who are speaking violence against white people are getting away with it. There are so many statements against white people that just wouldn’t be tolerated against black people.
Then you have the phenomenon of white guilt. That white people are not allowed to be proud to be white. They’re not allowed to be have pride in their heritage and they should be ashamed of their ancestors which are responsible for the foundation of the modern western world of today.

It never took off in the media because they figured out in came from Cred Forums, but it did it's part in shedding light on the world.

If this message is changed to be "It's okay to be Black" or "It's okay to be Asian" or "It's okay to be Slav" and you're offended by that, then you're racist.

That's kind of the point.

Race is a social construct

And people took it away from you, changing the meaning and pushing it in a different context. If that's difficult to understand, then don't worry about it too much.

Who are people? Like who the fuck are we talking about? The message and reaction were simple.

And? I'm white too and I don't need to make shitty statements like this. Now go get a life or KYS.

>it's ok to be descendants of slave traders and colonists
Yeah... OK...

Really? It just says it's okay to be white.

Triggered

Incompatible cultures are the problem, not race. Cultures are why we have nations, borders, laws and militaries. This current IDpol subversion, implies we've somehow grown beyond that, out of the blue.

Im not white and that okay too

Yep :)

You're right. Blacks also can't congregate because the surrounding message is that they're up to no good. Whites are bad because libfags said so and blacks shouldn't be allowed near each other because trailer trash said so
Thank god retarded pseudo logic exists or else we'd have to think

do you think we still ride around in our fucking horsewagons and whip people?

shut the fuck up you dumb fuckin clown

That's racist as hell, blacks, Arabs, and Hispanics have more to their history than their slave trade

I guarantee you live in a country founded by those “slave traders and colonist”. Which is ironic seeing as how the African slaves we sold by their own people into slavery, the true slave traders. Also the fact that worldwide slavery is at an all time high right now, but you don’t give a fuck about that do you? It doesn’t fit your leftist outrage against white people.
tl;dr Fuck you

Yeah pretty much

Of course, be proud of who you are, everyone deserves that right.

When I was in HS this black girl Jackie and I were assigned a project together. I told her I would do all of the work, all of the research and all she had to do is bring the poster board and I would have all of the information to put on it, everything and we would get equal credit as we were both doing part. Jackie came to class the next day with a filled out poster (completed project). And when I began to question her... The response was "I don't need some cracker taking any of my credit". I had everything printed to go on the poster research all typed out. The teacher told us she would get 100 and I get a 0 because I didn't help create a complete presentation. I tried explaining and when Jackie again in front of the teacher called me a cracker. I said "well this nigger couldn't simply bring a poster board and is shitting on my grade because I'm white." Guess who got suspended?

Kek

Just because the left finds racism in everything, it does not mean there is actually racism in everything. They are delusional. No one coopted the message of the poster. They revealed their hypocrisy and bigotry, then imagined enemies that crafted a "racist poster". The only people posting this poster are us, to continue to point out the flaws of the left that we used to be part of.

I don't get it I guess I'm too smart oh well have fun triggering retards ape man here's a bump

The teacher got suspended.... Because generally we live in a pretty fair world... If you don't think you are being treated right, record the situation AND speak out about it. Quit spreading hate and focus on yourselves user.

Racist? No. Pathetic and whiny? Most certainly.

When you're too smart to understand

Attached: 1355920607337.png (311x458, 131K)

Faggot? No. Suck a mean dick? Most certainly.

I'm the descendant of two English families. One was a navy family that fought slavery around the world, successfully ending the practice in most of the world. The other were nobles that left Britain, bought a plantation in North Carolina, freed the slaves, offered them jobs and the use of our last name. Most took both. Then we fought and died for the North in the Civil War.

My family never owned slaves for more time than it took to free them. We died to end slavery. And we're white. So go fuck yourself with your racist bullshit.

See, here's the thing.
When people refer to racism in the modern world, there's some confusion because of there being essentially two different types - direct racism, wherein individuals or groups believe themselves to be superior to another race or several (or the variant based on thinking another race is inferior).
But then there's the other kind of racism, which is a bit more complicated - systemic or institutional racism. Because many of the structures of (insert predominantly white country here) were made by white people, usually decades or even centuries ago and with not an insignificant number of people in that foundation who partook in direct racism, those elements and ideals are still prevalent in the systems, with a major component of them being the somewhat subtle reapplication of direct racism in their command structures.
That's what people tend to refer to when they mention white privilege - those structures were built primarily by white people, primarily for white people. Which is why people who tend to "speak out" about "white people" tend to fly under the radar - they're not attacking individuals, or even "the" race (holy FUCK there's a lot of problems with the idea of a "white race"), but the system that supports them in lieu of other races. There's definitely some direct racism statements in there too, like generalisations and so such, but they're relatively few and far between.
Also, the only reason that blacks and asians get roped together is because those systems roped them together, and they stood together in order to get their rights. White people didn't have that systemic oppression, so the notion of "white pride" should be lost in your actual race, be that American, German, whatever.
It's all just an extension of classism, anyway. If you want to solve racism, think about killing the rich first.

see Cred Forums made it, there was a little irony to it, then Cred Forums saw it and went full retard, unironically thinking they'd co-opted it from somewhere outside Cred Forums.

>postmodern bullshit
Your philosophy is based on a foundation of logical fallacies.

this whole issue arises because people are worrying about descendants and not an individuals merit and actions.

exactly

S'kinda the point. It IS okay to be white - it's not an objectionable statement.
But imagine someone started inserting, say, clowns into every racist conversation, and using clowns as symbols as they were doing racist things etc., all the fucking time. After a while, you'd start to wonder if any old clown you saw in a politically unknown situation (so not obvious, like a kid's party or something) had some racial connotations.
Maybe you want to dress up as a clown at halloween or something, but there was a rally recently of people yelling "gas the niggers" while a bunch of them wore clown outfits, some of them just being off-the-hook standard clown costumes from the local costume shop. Would you think about it twice?
These posters, with this exact statement - they're the clowns in this scenario.

These people can't comprehend shit like that. That's why they are here. Bunch of losers and outcasts who don't really know what the fuck since we're just trogs in our basements.
They think the meme is still theirs

Sorry for triggering you, snowflake.

So....whites are the same as niggers?
Wooo boy

That's media-based politics for you, man. S'why we all need to vet our sources, dump Fox and CNN.

>A nazi psyop that attempts to legitimize the mayocide conspiracy theory
'Tis racist

Welcome to Cred Forums, newfag. Please enjoy your stay, and then get out.

That's retarded. It's the left losing their shit for no reason. In your example, a fraction of a percent of clowns are racist. So no, clowns are not a racist symbol.

It's like what the left does with white people: a fraction of a percent are privileged, or racist, or whatever. So all are now evil. Even though these things are true of all demographics. It's pure retardation. Postmodern philosophy mixed with Marxist ideals and turned into a death spiral of cognitive dissonance.

To be fair you do sound like a cunt

Such as?

The world is full of hypocrites and downright stockholme syndrome scenarios.

In America if you call a black person black you get lynched
Calling them African American is perfectly fine.
African American implies you are not fully American
African American implies that being called black is undesirable
Therefore, African American implies there is something wrong with being black and tries to disassociate from it

Tongue in cheek tiptoeing around an implied racial stance is just as bad.

Instead of having a discussion, you’re choosing to bring new dynamics into the discussion with terms that are not established nor found in the definition of the word racism. Next you’ll be speaking of micro-aggressions. You also missed my point entirely. Our former president is black. There are many minority senators, governors, and Supreme Court justices. The power now longer rests within the hands of white people, yet systemic racism and prohibition of the free expression of white people is limited by this imaginary oppression in this modern day. I can name many racist programs and opportunities that and racist and prejudiced against white people. Affirmative action, minority college funds, restrictions on speech in the workplace, culture preservation societies, entertainment industries specifically titled and marketed towards minorities. Can you name anything resembling the examples I just listed for white people? I’m willing to bet you cannot, thus invalidating your structures of systemic racism.
Also few and far between?! I’m very confused. Almost double the amount of whites are killed by police every year, where is the outrage. Racist jokes against whites publicly made daily on Comedy Central. There is an agenda of white hate being pushed by the media and by our society.

Picture this, there's a group of guys discussing the many unaddressed issues in society that affect men. E.g. Favoritism for women in many legal scenarios, the the greater percentage of male suicide due to unilateral stress on men, etc... we've all seen the threads. Suddenly a woman barges into the room and screams "women have issues". A wholly accurate statement. Perfectly innocuous. Sensible even. But so it is, and even so, any time the guys try to discuss their issues that woman, or another person, maybe a group, pipes up loudly. "We have problems, too"

Surely, you can see how that is willfully distracting, reductive, and kinda petty in a way. "How dare you bring attention to you without bringing attention to me?" "Are you trying to take attention away from me"

I mean, I'm not any smarter than the next guy, but I can see how that'd upset some people.

Yeah, a fraction of a percent of clowns are being used as a racist symbol in this example (though I chose clowns for a specific reason. That may come up.)
But that doesn't preclude context. And the context is king - which is why I used a specific example, rather than a generalised one. It's the notion of co-option, wherein a group or individual attempts to claim an existing entity for their cause, and usually in doing so they combine it with their existing symbology to make something that's distinct enough for their followers to notice and identify each other with (Pepe is a good example) while maintaining the symbol for the eyes of "normies". To put it simply, in the example given, clowns aren't a racist symbol - but that doesn't stop them from being used AS a racist symbol.

Many of the problems you've attributed to "the left" are actually mostly the exclusive properties of Americanised liberals and neoliberals. Which is ironic, because the application of the label "liberal" to "anyone left of Ronald Reagan" has been one of the major foot-shooting sports of modern western society, radicalising political groups in one direction, another or a third.

As for privilege, here's the awkward part - in certain contexts, all white people can and do benefit from white privilege. It's not the same as class privilege, which is why you can have a poor-ass white person who still benefits from white privilege - if you have two homeless bums in front of you, one white, one black, it's highly likely that any system they run into will treat the white bum better, if only marginally, because again, it's all built into the structures of the systems that handle things from superyacht polishing to soup kitchens. White privilege is, best put, the advantage that one person would have over another in western societies and their structures if those people were literally identical, except for one of them being white and the other not.

Or how about you look at it like an adult, see the big picture, come up with an agreeable solution to solve as many problems as you can for as many people as possible.
Also who are you to invalidate a group or races ability to speak out about problems. Truth is, no one gives a fuck about white people these days. I can find you multiple news sources saying how evil it is to be white. Fuck that.

Yep. Tiptoeing around racial politics is also retarded. It's like those people who "can't see colour" - they're mostly using it as an excuse to duck out of racial political isues altogether, either because they're well-meaning but don't want to engage, or actual racists wanting an excuse to say and do whatever they want, believing there'd be no repurcussions (despite that not being what Free Speech means).
There's no fixing racial politics without a lot of discussions and action being taken, and hoo boy, you'd better believe that rich elites don't want that shit.

Next logical step: ADL page describing clowns as racist.

This may be shocking news to you, but as people in large numbers communicate with each other daily, over the course of many, many years, the definitiion of words can change, and even verbiage that isn't written down in the Oxford is often used and recognised on a daily basis.
You seem to have missed the point of how white privilege effects people, though. When America had a black president, there were daily talks of lynching, murder and so on from many people across the country - the kind of things that would be completely unacceptable for other presidents, even as they were getting their own grief, though that grief was political and not personal (or racial). The level of scrutiny that this black president underwent was incredible and unprecedented - if he did a tenth of the things his sucessor did, he'd have been impeached.
tl;dr - a black man in the same position as a white man suffered more under the system than an equivalent white man. And bear in mind, the POTUS is still subject to the whims of senate and congress, the structural keepers in this scenario. Even with there being minority senators and congressmen and so on, they sit on the existing structure, and attempting to change it to any significant degree would be a monumental task which, under the scrutiny already afforded to minorities in their positions, would be an even more difficult task.
The notion that power no longer rests in the hands of white people is a ridiculous and uninformed one. Programs designed to assist minorities through elements of white power, even badly implemented ones, are not there to oppress you. The notion of "they should hire/accept the most qualified people" are popular, noble, and completely ineffective under systemic prejudice. Entertainment focused towards minorities doesn't take away from the massive amount of content that your demographic has in development, as you're constantly being pandered to as the most important demographic.
Look at who's punching up.

Also, while I remember, police issues are themselves based around classism, which is why they don't get addressed. Police in America (and increasingly other western countries) aren't being set up as protectors, but enforcers, which is why you have SWAT teams practically everywhere as a massive money sink which primarily bust for minor to moderate drug offenses.

Nobody said it wasn't, just don't be a nationalist, or racist and don't push your "white people too" agenda when there's like a bunch of black teens being killed by cops for being black. Nobody is saying that white people don't suffer, but it's impossible to deny they have it easier than the minorities, hence the white privileges. If you're uncomfortable about white people being discriminated, then do something about it but don't go fucking Nazi and accuse the Jews of plotting against you, why not just fight the dirty capitalists who pins us together? Immigrants don't rob us from our jobs, bosses give it to them because they are easier to exploit.

I'm not invalidating any groups ability to speak about problems, it was kinda the straight opposite of that. I'm just pointing out why some would find it a bit distasteful mate, a counter to the whole "If you're offended by this in any way, you're a racist" statement. I'm no sexist but I'd be miffed if a woman/person kept sidetracking the conversation about our ills, doesn't even have to be a 'wing-tipped-glasses-wearing-red-dyed-hair-femi-nazi', it could just as well be a just a random person. The issue is the trivialization, the detracting, and the attempting to invalidate a groups woes "cause everyone has them".

Don't know if it was hard to understand that's my bad if it was, but the lines
>"How dare you bring attention to you without bringing attention to me?"
>"Are you trying to take attention away from me?"
These is the message that disruptively bringing forth attention to your group while another group is trying to discuss theirs appear to send, it doesn't really matter if it means to.

You're absolutely right, there's lots of issues to go around, and we should discuss them all and attempt to fix them, as surely we can. No problem there.

Also, that's the ugly beauty of the internet, I can find you just as many sources vilifying minorities, or any group that you can think of really, and then some. Hell, this whole site is pretty anti-minority for example. It's just the way it is. Could be better though. Could be worse.

I voted for Obama twice and for Trump this time, I feel the left is off the rails atm. During my support for Obama, I didn't see anywhere near the level of vitriol from the right, that I see from the left against Trump. Or, like most of the "rampant racism" the left sees everywhere, it was in jest and I never even raised an eyebrow. Both presidents are center left and their policies aren't even that different. You all are letting the media drive you crazy.

Funny thing about things like this being "in jest" - a lot of stuff can be easily handwaved away as being "in jest", but even in the rare circumstances of things like this actually being "in jest", those things can attract some very unwanted attention and cause a massive shift in the conversation.

Biggest example - Cred Forums. T. Jesus Christ, I've been here 15 years, why.
