Horrid. People wanted all their coffee and food between 9 and 11 am, then next to nothing. We had our worse second guy out the front as well so I was pulling triple duty. Not fun.
They're doing all they can but people are dumb. People not living in the area are all coming and flooding the suburbs, looking for pictures of the disaster, making it hard for people to evacuate if need be. The traffic has been horrendous, and during the day they see the gates to reserves open for the firefighters to get in quickly and so they block it with their cars. Its fucking stupid. Not even starting on the fact that they get their hot car, on a hot dry day, driving with their hot exhausts, through tall, dry grass, under eucalyptus trees.
Oh yeah. We have soaker hoses on the roof, all wood is secured in metal sheds, most of our backyard is dirt from the conditions and most of whats important in my life is packed in my brothers Amarok. Its amazing how little I really need.
