I thought I would explain why you can't compare it. People tend to die in the early stages of an infection and a r0 of 2 means the infection number grows exponential, so while only a few people recovered, at the same time hundreds more get infected and that increased infection means more deaths. To determine the lethality of a bacteria or virus outbreak statistics use infected and dead, because if you didn't die soon after you showed the first symptoms you tend to not die at all. The 50% bullshit is a complete hoax by people not understanding math, biology or statistics.

I work for a company that sells medical supplies to other companies, we have had 2 40ft high cubes (shipping containers) seized by the Chinese. These were supposed to contain respirators and surgical masks. According to the Chinese government these were "made on our land with our materials"
