Life?
Maybe. It really depends on how you manage your finances. Don't take out more student loans than you really need for just classes, don't buy shit you don't need on credit cards, buy all of your cars used. That'll help.
If your SO wants you to spend more money than you're taking in, and you're not married, kick them to the curb. They may be an 11/10 and a great fuck, but when you're in your 30s and living paycheck to paycheck, you're going to hate life.
There are tons of ways to earn money in this world. Contrary to what your guidance counselors have been pushing on you, a 4 year degree is useless. In fact, they're the equivalent of a High School Diploma in the 90s. You either need to get a Master's in something useful (not gender studies) or get a lowly Associate's in a trade to make money nowadays.
Don't have kids until you are debt free.
Buy used durable goods whenever you can. Let Mr/Ms early adapter pay the initial depreciation for you.
First time I was on Cred Forums was in 2006. It hasn't changed much, other than the fact there's less hot nekkid chicks and more gross traps.
>buy all of your cars used
Yeah, ONLY buy used if it comes with a complete service history AND you're getting a warranty from a large reputable company AND you have in writing EXACTLY what that warranty covers. If buying private sale, get the CarFax report/DMV title search and ask to have the vehicle inspected by a mechanic you trust.
I've worked for a GM stealership for the past 13 years and man have I seen some shit.
Our last two vehicles were bought used. A '14 Focus (with the extended trans warranty because Ford fucked that up) and an '18 f150 with 3400 miles on it for 31K, in 2018. Late model used is best. You can get the recalls, if any handled, and you're still paying tons less for the car. The f150, which was only a few months old, sold to us for 9k less than the original buy paid for it. It helps if you know what you want, what issues that model/year has, and what work you're willing to do in your driveway.
Is it really worth it brah I’m 21 make good money have a great lady but I still hate being alive everyday, how can I be happy
what is the best cut of meat from a deer? what do you call it and what is the best way to prepare it? please share the best delights of venison.
This is good advice. I would add in two things though. ALWAYS save money and have some cash in the bank, it'll save you A LOT of stress. And try to invest and own some assets. Even stocks is better than owning nothing of value.
I mean, you're not wrong, but you'd be surprised how long you can drive around in a toyota/honda beater without having to be money into it
Only you can make you happy. If you have a woman who is awesome, a job that provides, and you're still not happy, It's time to go see a therapist. They'll help you sort it out. If you think your insurance won't cover it, check your company. Most offer mental health services that offer N visits for X problems. You can game the N and X variables for a while.
I'm a fan of the back straps, just because it is a long cut of meat that can be cut into medallion steaks or 2 single cuts of meat. If you do nothing but ground, make sure you add extra fat like extra bacon grease. Deer is too lean to do just straight ground for a beef replacement.
If your employer offers a 401k or 457 plan, or any retirement plan, contribute at least 10%. If they have a match, awesome! If not, start at 10%. If you're living comfortably with that, add most of you yearly raise past that. Building wealth takes time, and if you start right out of college, you'll be able to retire in your 40s.
I can see this thread isn't getting too much interest. I'm sorry you kids don't want to learn from a GenXer's mistakes.
Been through all that diagnosed bipolar I have everything a happy person should have I don’t know what to do anymore brah half my days are spent contemplating my own end
Yea true, it always blows my mind how people never take advantage of 401k matching. Then these are the same people who drive around in expensive "luxury" cars, tons of credit card debt and like $150 in cash in the bank. It's sad how some people are so obsessed with being mindless consumers.
If material goods aren't making you happy, and therapy isn't helping, you have 2 choices:
meds
anhero
>but you'd be surprised how long you can drive around in a toyota/honda beater without having to be money into it
Not really. The early-mid 1990's Accord and Camry were pretty solid cars and it's not unusual to find well maintained highway driven examples with over half a million miles on them. Cars with Buick's 3800 V6 are also capable of high mileage though you have to deal with more leaks than a Toyota or Honda would have.
I guess so my guy
My wife and I are just now not being consumers. 15 years of marriage and credit debt. This is one of the reasons I started this thread. I care about the under 40s on Cred Forums. I want them to realize that if they make the proper personal decisions, they can make lower upper class money.
>This is one of the reasons I started this thread
Youre wasting your time in that case. Most people are fucking sheep. They're never going to wake up and smell the roses. Doesn't help they learned all their shitty money management from their parents.
You could just as easily find a toyota that's been neglected for years, maintenance wise, and still running strong
Nah dawg. 1 out of 100 will be like "dave ramsey is the shit".
Is it a want or a need!
>Then these are the same people who drive around in expensive "luxury" cars, tons of credit card debt and like $150 in cash in the bank.
I see this a lot too. People come in wanting to buy or lease a new GMC Denali (always either black or white) and then they want to pile on a wheel and tire package plus various other accessories. Their credit score comes back not as a number but as "Don't lend this person your pencil."
Bambi is a boy deer. That's not a spike
Sorry your eyes suck.
That was a doe on my "any deer" tag.
>People want to finance cars with shitty credit
I will never understand the mindset of people who do this. Even worse are the people who drive around in new and/or expensive luxury cars as they live in a fucking apartment. Like dude, you look like a fucking idiot doing that. You don't even own your own home but you drive a luxury car? That shit looks so ridiculous.
>A doe
>A deer
>A female deer
Doesn't have spikes / not a boy deer.
Faggot
Have you figured out the point of all this bullshit why are we here
How do you seriously break a masturbation addiction?
It's because people are fucking stupid and they don't want to look "poor", even though they are fucking poor
