Lyrica (pregabalin) is an anticonvulsant that a lot of people use to increase the effects of heroin without as much of a risk as using a benzodiazepine (xanax, klonopin, etc), which suppresses your central nervous system, particularly on top of the heroin. I mean I wouldn't really consider myself a drug dealer primarily, that was secondary to being an addict. There was no ballin to be had, all of my money went straight to dope. Was it fun being high a lot? Fuck yeah. Was it fun being dopesick a lot? Hell no. Was all the fucked up shit I saw and did worth it? Definitely not.

Overall I'm a lot happier more often now than I was then so I would say probably not worth it. I obviously miss getting high and have to fight the urge everyday but I like sobriety. It's not as exciting and fast paced but the stability is great.

The one silver lining is that I wasn't that good of a person even before the drugs, but I wasn't that bad either. I saw a lot of really bad people do bad things and I was a big pos myself, but I learned what a good person looks like in the process and I try to be one everyday now. I volunteer, I'm active on campus, and you would probably never know I was one if you didn't know my past. I'm truthfully trying to be a good guy now, so it might have been worth it for that. Despite the occasional reminiscing/addict venting on here I want to leave all of that behind me.
