If you make less than a certain amount of money in the US, you can get Obamacare for free. We've had it for like 8 years now. Anyone making over a certain amount has to get their own insurance. if you work full time in the US, your employer generally must provide you with an option to get insurance through the company, but you sill have to pay for it. The company deducts a percentage of your weekly pay to cover the insurance. For most people, this is a good system.

Where the US has a problem is with "independent contractors" who are technically not employees and with illegal immigrants who are paid under the table and cannot legally receive Obamacare. These two groups are primarily the people who are not paying their hospital bills.

In my opinion, we don't need universal healthcare, we just need to close the "independent contractor" loophole and start making companies who hire illegal immigrants pay for their healthcare.

Your daughter can see a doctor under Yang's medicare for all but under Yang she could also receive 1k a month if she decides to raise children instead of leaving her kids at home while she works 2 jobs at 15.00 an hour.
