Justin Bieber is completely modern pop music, and the Beatles are pop rock, largely because of vocal delivery, and not in regards to their progressive song writing. You are also dismissing the masterful, harmony driven aspect of the relationship of each respective musician in the Beatles, something not comparable to Bieber. The Beatles thrive on abstract narratives and poetry, and organic, character driven instrumentals, which is nothing like a modern boy band.

Acdc and pantera is simply entertainment and commercial. Music is more than that. I do like macho bands such as Emmure, SOAD, and Guns n Roses. But im not going to say a 80s band with easy riffs and everything song about rocking out and having themes of thunder, explosions, and lightning holds anything of musical value. Pantera did have a great guitarist though unlike ACDC

Billy "crafted" half that music from James's throwaway recordings in the studio. Billy Corgan's a mediocre singer and a mediocre guitarist. Not there's any way I can prove it to you, but I own a sizable collection of guitars and have been playing for 20 years. I switch between a 1979 Guild 6 string electric and a Washburn 7-string. I use an Ibanez Half Stack with a Spider IV head running it and a powered pedalboard, unless I'm playing blues...then I use a vintage super reverb. Smashing Pumpkins is not a "guitar god" type of band..... They are music for the 90s emo babies who grew up before My Chemical Romance existed.
