In communism it is ones extra benefit should benefit all other so long as he does not disbenefit from this. If one is to be responsible for being compassionate for all, perhaps utilitsrianly so, then all should be compassionate for him.

Its a topic that spans a broad spectrum of ideas. Im no fan of communist dictatorships. Some ideas within communism do translate into more rational and fair systems. The basic theory working entitles you to the benefits of your labor is a fairly good one in my opinion.

Except it doesn't work on paper at all. Your statement is the logical equivalent of saying "2+2=67, it's just that math is inherently flawed" Communism is a system of government intended for human beings. If it doesn't work in a practical sense, then the formula itself is to blame and not humanity. Which is precisely what is going on. Communism is idealistic nonsense that fails to account for the actual nature of human beings, so it is a failed ideology.
