This is a Cred Forums rule. m00t would instaban anyone who posted a request in /b. Why is this thread still up?

2. It's not called "x-ray", it's called "the x-ray effect". The "x-ray effect" was a coding mistake Adobe made that last existed in PS CS6 whereby two variables simultaneously adjsted beyond their previously-coded limit in prior versions produced an "aberration" in an image which made certain areas of an image that relected more light to appear as concentric circles (thus the tip of a shirt where the breast emerges and is highlighted nonuniformly to an extreme comparatively). This aberration, "the x-ray effect" was in fact discussed, at length in countless forums by Adobe itself and thousands of graphic artists back over a decade ago now and was fixed in the next release of PS. Only a complete imbecile would call it "x-ray" and think that it actually shows anything under the skin.

3. You have to ignore both physics and common sense to believe that any program could somehow magically take a 2D image and through adjustment of parameters, reveal 3D information BELOW the outer garment, and selectively (no less) in only a planet just below that garment and only on the surface of the skin. Not even an x-ray machine itself can do this, nor an MRI, NMR, nor the multimillion dollar scanners at airports. The technology doesn't exist because it defies the laws of physics, in addition to common sense.

4. The resolution of an image would have to be the size of a billboard, or more likely a skyscraper, in order to show flesh between the meshwork of a garment, and even then the light that is hitting that flesh purportedly would have to be at a precise angle to reflect back perfectly into the lens of a camera to capture it. Thus, neither the resolution of any image posted here (i.e., over 10^8x smaller than required) is big enough, nor is their any camera capable of even capturing this.

Not saying I'm going to do any, but for the uninitiated below are the requirements for xraying to work
>For reference: swimsuits are made of material that won't go transparent when wet, so it stops light - so swimsuits won't work. Anything with a bra under it won't work. Similarly lace or heavily patterned or ribbed/textured fabrics won't work well because of different transmissibility and levels. Skin-coloured fabrics are tricky for Gimp as it can't differentiate between skin and fabric. Ideally the fabric should be thin and in contact with the body. Black-and-white images are unliely to be successful as there are no colour levels to maipulate in Gimp, just shades of grey which won't work.
>If the image is small and full of jpeg artifacts or has already been digitally processed then the results will probabbly be shit. As a test, zoom in on the picture and if it breaks into blocks then forget it.

Pic attached shows what it looks like when I start to process - note how jagged the colour curve is - it should be smooth; this shows the effect of previous processing. Now look at the artifects, I've arrowed a couple. This gives you an idea. I'll start work now but, as I said, not optimistic
