First attempt I "saw" the apple, similar to how I think you saw the apple.
When I closed my eyes and consentrated, I saw a fruits and greens section of a grocery store. Like actually saw it. Floor, fluorecent light, fruits and vegetables, 1st person POV of me walking up to a crate full of apples and picking one up, and switching to dangling it by the stem. It also switch between normal POV and super close-ups of the skins color and texture. And I changed the color of it to green, just to see if I could.

That's bullshit. Even normal vision is an interpretation. Light doesn't have a direct line to the brain. Light enters the eye, is interpreted by the visual cortex and formed into a composite image. Imagination and memory work much the same way but with information instead of light. It also works with sound, taste and smell. Touch is more problematic because that circuit, so to speak, is always active. All vision is in the brain. The only people that see nothing are people who have never seen anything because their brain has never had that information.

whats really interesting is how strong this effect can get. If i smoke weed and try I can recreate classic paintings and shit just from memory. They arent perfect, but the level of detail would surprise you. I am able to think about a part, and find the specific areas within that part(namely curves and other shapes) to recreate

Also if I trip Ive had times where I walked and lived around in big virtual places, mazes and other weird trippy shit. Incredibly vivid and life like. Almost like a video game or something.

I can see the whole tree, and I can reach up and grab one. I don't feel it, exactly, but i can grasp its size and weight. I can choose different ones which have different shapes and sizes. It's a nice day in the field.
