As Sanders has pointed out quite often, America is already a welfare state for corporations. If most American companies cannot survive without huge government handouts and would leave because of higher taxes (still lower than income tax btw) then they are either simply greedy or not competitive enough.
It's funny that corporate cucks seem to think it's ok to prop up unsustainable businesses using tax money, but giving people free healthcare/education is a one way trip to communism. It works in other countries, the only reason people think it won't work in the US is because they listen to the corporate shills who benefit from this broken system.
Swede here. Not sure it's a good idea to compare to my country. US has a different background, different experience with government, etc. We're also a much smaller country. Lots of lies going around about what it's like in Sweden. Democrats paint us as some sort of magical paradise (it's not), while republicans paint us like some sort of war zone (it's not). I can answer such questions, if needed, but in general I think assuming that implementing our way of doing things in the US is in no way guaranteed to work.
Our system works because all parts of the system are geared towards the same general goal. If you just implement one or two of the systems, then it won't have synergy with the other systems, and the whole thing will probably fuck up.
