Not anymore, been sober for a year this month. Quit after going to the hospital for the umpteenth time, asking for medical detox but getting discharged at 2am, and having a massive clonic/tonic seizure while detoxing at home 2 days after no drink. Went to inpatient rehab.
I am an RN now and working on my clinical addiction counselor III (CAC III) certification.
Don't judge anyone that drinks honestly. Majority of people are completely fine, some not at all.

Basically drank a lot when I was in the military, drank more when I got out and was working in a warehouse that didn't care. Went from drinking for fun, then to sleep, then in the morning because it fixed the hangover. Got to a point I just drank to avoid withdrawal symptoms and had a stupid high tolerance.
