I bought a handgun for self defense before I quit my good IT Job to go back to school, and am now too poor to buy the gun I was going to get.

A few of my friends have spent too much money on AR-type rifles that are really finicky and/or unpleasant to use. I think I may be biased bc the first AR I shot (my friend's) had a muzzle break that deafened all of us for like 48 hours after 2 or 3 shots. Which is not at all the AR's fault.

But now they are icky to me.

In all seriousness, none of the other rifles were a problem. We had one set of earmuffs that we let the shooter use. The rest of us stepped back way behind the shooter, and didn't have any problems that day until dude brought out his extra loud honker.
