Not necessarily. If science arrives at the conclusion that there was a creation then they would tend to believe it. But atm there is no concrete evidence of it. The Big Bang theory posits that the universe 'as we know it' began as an exploding singularity, but what came before is still currently a mystery. If it turns out that reality is infinite but just changes forms, then there is no need for a creation point.

By today's standards it would be impossible to measure(but a well constructed theory based on natural science is more of a base than 'god did it' so they are not equal in their ignorance). But through blossoming fields of physics we may have the tools needed in the future to describe this process ess with confidence. Just like how Aristotle did not know about base elemental atomic structures, but nonetheless knew that the universe was knowable, we do not yet know what we do not know. We do know that the god of the gaps argument is becoming less and less necessary every day.
