I like the 4-runner also, I think the design is slick. And they have been taking a pounding since the 80s, so they're pretty dialed in as for reliability. If you want something more upscale luxury and "street", but has 4wd capabilities for regular snow situations, maybe a Lincoln Navigator.

I think the 4runner looks mean and the Highlander looks more civilized. Loaded, they're both around 50k. It depends if he wants something that looks beefy or executive level. But the 4runner rides more like a truck. Some people like that. Thats why I gave him the opinion for the trucky ride or the exec Navigator all plushed out.

if you want performance and not necessarily luxury, get a jeep grand cherokee track hawk. it's actually incredibly nice on the inside, but doesn't have the luxury reputation. its fucking fast too

If you are looking for an SUV that is basically a pickup but way better i suggest the Chevrolet Suburban. The 2000 model has a large enough back section when the third row seats are removed and the second row is folded down to fit whole sheets of drywall and plywood. Then use the money you saved buying a used vehicle repairing it and modifying it, Then invest in Real Estate to move away from them smelly niggers. Also the gas tank is huge (40 gallons i think) so you can go about 500 miles on a tank.
If you wanna flex without being robbed the Ford Excursion is Huge and is built for flexing. A bit hard to navigate tight areas tho since its long and wide.
Ford Broncos are cool. That is all.
Police versions of the Ford Explorer have excellent speed and handling for a fun time out on the racetrack with the kids
