Pic related is not mine but I have started recently a hydro setup. In case some of the usual hydroponic pros are lurking I wanted to ask a few questions:
How do you keep the humidity low in a hydroponic setup during flora? I heard it makes your buds fatter.
What product do you use to fatten your buds in a hydroponic setup?
If you want to ask questions go ahead, If you want to show off your setup even better.

bump

that lighting is wack. it's too weak. they're growing narrow. some appear to be indica but some are just sativa and thin but those are too tall and old to be that thin. imagine a six foot 8 year old. look at this shit. this was with LEDs and 20 days from sowing. these seeds always came from total shit weed that was 160/oz.

well tell us about the lighting old bean

don't know much about hydro. but keeping the humidity low is mostly to prevent condensation on your buds when you get temperature changes so they don't get budrot.

hydro is a hassle tho.. more expensive in nutrients, more work and no margin for error unlike soil that works as a buffer for the PH value (weed is shit at coping with sudden PH changes) and when you feed too much/too little

the products you need are nutrients developed specially for weed in a hydro setup. normal garden store stuff won't do as regular nutrients only become useful to the plant after they have been broken down by bacteria in the soil which you don't have. the plant needs a different ratio of nitrogen/phosphorus/potasium during the flowering stage than during the growing stage so you'll need two kinds of product which will be clearly marked with 'grow' and 'flower' or 'bud'

shit. do your research you're not suposed to be asking these questions after you already started

also want to add that to keep your humidity low you just need good ventilation. get a tube fan like pic related. with hydro you want to vent to the outside or your walls and house will mould up in no time since you're basically evaporating a shitload of water inside your house

well thanks for trying but none of that is new for me

What are those in the bucket? Small potatoes?

keeping humidity low is bad. you want to rock VPD almost the entire time from veg thru flower. maybe dropping down the last 2 or 3 days. as another user said keeping humidity low is mainly to prevent pm or other outbreaks. if you keep things clean then rock VPD you will massively notice the difference. VPD = Vapor Pressure Deficit. Google it.

Regarding nutes. that depends on the nutes you currently give them. we have no way of knowing what your missing if we dont know what you are putting in in the first place....

they call them hydrotons, it's just a faggy brand name for cooked clay balls
when heated they expand and serve to keep moisture and gives physical structure for the plant in a liquid substrate

okay sorry bro. i mistook you for one of those noobs who try to grow seeds they found in their weed under the sink cupboard using a handheld 10w flashlight suspended with a piece of string like 90% of growthreads that pop up here

best of luck to you

Lighting is so important always make sure your lumens and Kelvin are up to par or else you'll just grow leggy shit. I don't grow weed but I do everything else.

thanks man

Never grown anything before. I have a spare room and spare bathroom, what's the best thing to do?

Those crinkles in the reflective sheets will cause burn marks on the plants.
A white photo backdrop is a much better option.

doing some indoor with china-leds from ebay.
Moving from soil to water next round.

Is that a naughty plant you're growing there? Tut tut tut young man

No more naughty than the rest of them!
No plant-bullying!
