Im pissed Cred Forums
I just went on a random e-thots onlyfans and noticed she is making over 15k a MONTH, from thirsty neckbeards.
I am out here with a STEM degree, following my passions, trying to make art and software that will benefit the world, fucking starving barely able to make 10k a year.

jesus fucking christ, I feel like I should just stop. People complain when I charge 5 bucks for a project that took me 6 months to finish on my own. While they'll spend 25 bucks at mcdonalds filling their greasy faces with shit they dont need, or a whole life savings on a low quality thot that will touch their pussy for them.
I hate this world. I want to quit. It doesnt seem fair. I work so hard.

as a side note I get that someone has to pay for porn. It is a lot of peoples jobs, and I dont have a problem with it. But everything just seems so unfair.

pic not the girl.

Sell your body like they do. And be nice when some dude wants to suck you off and lick your toes.

Look at the bright side. If you work even harder and smarter, and keep going through the hell, one small burst of luck will get super rich, and then people will complain you're the reason they are poor and you don't pay your fair share to society.

Charge more for your shit then, damn. I mean if your mad at people with easy money, aim higher than an e-thot. Also, anyone who makes a living off of looks is on a clock from day one. Your degree and exp will last until you’re done working o dead.

OP If you give me sauce on your pic I will suck your dick

Programming isn't real STEM. Most real STEM people can code when they need to and move on with their project.

That's like winning the lotto.

Their careers will only last for a few years and they will have blown thru the money because of how easy it was to make it. Only to have a few years gap and no skills on their resume when they have to go back in the field

Not really. If you're a smart person working hard on the right problem, your chances of success aren't bad.

Stay mad gayboi

There is living well and there are billionaire tech titan levels.

The odds of achieving Gates or Cuckiberg levels are slim.

They are hardly the brightest coders in the world.

This. You can train a fucking monkey to do any job.
Success followstaking pride in your work and having a drive to do well. That you cant teach.

I think I am going through a mental breakdown user. I am on the verge of tears. I havent felt like this before
Thanks for the kind words though user. Only time will tell though. You never hear about the dude that works through 10 years of failure and then kills himself. Thats looking much more likely than success rn.

Again, thanks for the kind words.
Its not as easy as just charging more though. I wish it was. And Ive experimented with a couple different models.
And its not even really about getting triggered about easy money either? I dont even know what I am trying to say. Idk man. The world sucks.

I work 3 twelve hour shifts a week being a "security guard" - sitting on my ass in a shack watching tv, playing video games, shit posting on Cred Forums & sigining in truck deliveries. Make a little over $20 / hr doing it. Not my "passion", but I get paid doing what I usually do every day at home.

Point is life's not fair. Find a job you enjoy, pay your bills and make the most of what time you got on this retarded rock. Don't be jealous cause whores can make good $ by just being whores.

I know man, Lifes not fair.
But it sucks. I just want to make things I think are important, but that is seeming less and less possible every day.
The flipside getting a job I dont care about, and living a life that I have no passion for, seems equally heartbreaking.
This world doesnt feel like its for me, I feel like every path I can take will lead my to depression. Idk what I am supposed to do.
And Im not really jealous. More shocked about how injust the world is. "injust" is kinda a poor gay word, I dont think I need special treatment or anything, but I cant think of a word better.

My advice is to stop doing things on your own. Get involved in established industry. The world needs more Engineers. Start looking into small privately owned automation technology companies that are looking for mechanical and controls engineers. Get into machine building design and start engineering machines with groups of engineers that sell designes to companies like Amazon and Tesla. The business I'm in takes in college grads and high school grads that have worked in robotics classes. Most start at 50K a year and end up making over 100K+ within 10 years and it's stable work with a great benefits package. Don't give up and ignore all of these get rich quick youtubers and dumb cunt sluts.

Where do you work? I keep hearing that everyone needs engineers, but I can't find a company within 200 miles of the current location of my ass that needs an engineer so badly that they're willing to hire one.

op here
thanks for the advice user. I may have to get a real job soon. I am interested in robotics. Doing things I dont care about is a sure fire way for me to want to kill myself though. I should probably get therapy.
I also mistakenly moved to a city that has one of the biggest and brightest tech schools, after I graduated college from a pub university, and all the companies around here seem incredibly competitive because of they have the option to get the best of the best. Infact the huge well known school is probably why there are any tech companies around me in the first place

But how do you go about finding companies like that anyway?

>I am out here with a STEM degree, following my passions, trying to make art and software that will benefit the world
And you still care for these kind of things?
Man, life is much more than a well paid job.
I know a lot of people that don't receive much as mechanical engineers, but love to fix cars and restore dream cars from other people.
I'm one of these guys that loves to fix someone else car, I worked 3 years for Mercedes-Benz with mechanical engineering and oh boy, I don't give a fuck about money if I have to draw designs of parts and debate how next vehicles will be.

OP, here's the thing about being rich from choice of job/career.
Popularity and celeb rich is selling your privacy and pandering to the masses. Entertainers do this and get rich on their personality, looks, and other shallow things. You don't have to look good either, look at Casey Nistat on youtube. This also includes crafters who want to get their names out, or sell their name brand.
Then there's the entrepreneur rich. This includes investors and other people who prefer to keep their name hidden. Its selling a service and knowledge for money.
Either path you can get rich.
One is crowd funded, the other skill funded.

I'm not going to post the name of the company I work for on this site but I can tell you that the future of the automotive, food, medical, ect is all automated. Most of the automation companies that are competitive can be found in the mid west because it takes a lot of space to build and test multiple assembly lines that take up a where house each. Look up Titans of CNC on youtube and you will get a lot of names of automation companies and you will get and idea of what they design. Here is an example. youtube.com/watch?v=QWUVHIkZv-4

You must of been on the lucky side of the fence If You just figured that out Now.

You're soft.... if it took you 6months to make 5$ art then you're a shit artist. Your friends suck too for not telling you you're shit

I dont really care about the money.
I just want to live a comfortable life, and stop relying on other people. Two days ago I had 10 dollars in my account for food for the rest of the week. I am literally starving.

thanks for the advice user. I dont really care about being rich that much though, it would be kinda cool I guess.

Lol who sells a piece of physical art for 5$?
I make software bruh. And its not all art.

I lost $300 from buying Tesla stocks today, what stocks are you invested in for automation so I can reap my lost money?

You seem to want to get a large sum of money the easiest way possible. Obviously jealous of the ethots getting it super ultra easy in such a short amount of time and become millionaires in less than a month. That kind of easy life requires you to be born with good genes. Sorry user, that's the way life is.
But then again, if you don't have the charm of Ted Bundy, you can always make it big in skills, or working for it. Although harder than just smiling into a camera, it requires you to be smart. Smart people get money fast as fuck.
Being a programmer, you have a skill you can sell. You think the guy that made Flappy Bird was a Forever 21 model banging French runway whores every day?
He made a stupid game that makes a bird jump into the air endlessly. Instant millionaire.
Why aren't you making apps?
Fuck, there's an app that changes your face into a girl and its making millions! There's a app that turns on your LED flashlight and thats making a thousand dollars a month.

If you have skills at building software or computer programming you might look into controls engineering. I would put yourself in the shoes of a business owner who is looking to stay competitive in todays industry by purchasing automated machinery to speed up the mass manufacture of pill bottles, tire, whatever. You would look into companies that are selling those things. Do internet searches or look in the yellow book for your city. Find those places and try to get your foot in the door. Tell them you have a good work ethic and you just need someone to give you a chance and that your are excited to learn. Some of them are not looking for 30 year veterans. They have a lot of old guys about to retire and they are trying to train a new generation of noobs right now.

Another area to get into is mechanical design if you are good with autocad or solid works ect, you can make some money building 3D model designs for custom machinery. The skilled trades are not what they used to be but you can still find good work at an electrician, plumber or machinist in the automation industry.

Start charging people what you think your stuff is worth, and don't budge, if they don't get it someone will. And you'll begin inflating your prices and soon people will expect to pay what they should. If the real cost of a loaded burger is 5$ and a store cuts every whining cunt a deal and sells them all for 1$ the store needs to explain the value and price reasoning and tell every cheap bitch to stfu and they're not getting free shit anymore, soon everyone knows what people pay and expect to pay 5$. And you making 10K a year I'd kms or become Duce Bigalo

should a been born with a vag

this

ALSO I NEED SAUCE

Learn to code bruh

thanks for all the replies guys. Sorry for the diary venting, I needed to talk to someone about shit I cant talk about irl.
I was literally on my floor rolling around in tears. I was in a dark spot. It might of been a panic attack or something, idk
but I am genuinely feeling better.

I dont want to get rich quick. And I didnt mean to make it sound like that.
I just want to be able to survive making things I care about. I want to benefit the world, and not be punished for it.

Actually weirdly enough I am quite good looking, tall, etc. Maybe not quite a chad, Im a bit skinny, but still. Not that it really matters that much.
I have two apps on the appstore right now buddy. Making apps isnt really that good of a way to make money though. There is a lot of shitty things people don't know about until your there.
Apple takes nearly half of all your profits. That is after whatever ad agency your with takes their cut. Finding new apps is a garbage system, what gets downloaded is the shit that pays for loads of ads, and the shit the app store promotes. I could go on, but its really stacked against small creators(even big creators). Flappy bird was a one in a billion fluke, that only happened because pewdiepie forced it.

Ive experimented with my pricing model a bit, but I may have to keep experimenting. I also work with clients, and charge them hourly. Ive bumped up my prices and just literally lost all of my customers, I gotta find a way to balance everything. Its a competitive world. And there is always a person in nigeria willing to do your job for 1 buck an hour, or a huge coorporation than can cut cost down 99% of what you can do it for. Competing against all that is tough.

Who is she? Thinking I might subscribe too

Few things, first off, don't undersell yourself and your work my man. Straight up, charge more for what you're creating and if people want to complain about the prices, tell them why things are priced the way they are. Programming isn't easy and convenience ain't fuckin' cheap, you have all the right in the world to charge for something you're creating. Shit, artists I follow on instagram charge $90 for a full-body commissioned drawing. It seems like a lot, but when you consider the work that goes into being able to create a commissioned artwork worth that amount, the price makes more sense. People are basically paying you to make something they're either too lazy to make, or don't have the time/care to learn the craft required to make that thing.
That being said, fact of the matter is that e-thots make stupid bank and that 'job' is not challenging at all, at least not compared to hardcore programming. That's a fact of this life and the age we live in, a cute girl willing to post provocative images of herself is always going to make more money than someone who dedicates themselves to their craft.

The best piece of advice I can leave you with is this - don't focus on the money, focus on your fulfillment. Yeah, maybe some e-thot makes 15k a month selling herself to neckbeards, but what else is she going to be good for? Unless she's smart enough to simply use it as a stepping stone to provide monetary support for her actual passions, she's just going to continue selling herself and not actually bettering her character. If you're dedicated to creating projects that make the world a better place, I'd say you ought to be happier, even if you're not making the money they are. I understand financial stress though, of course.
I'm an artist, and I spend a lot of time each day trying to improve my craft. Even if an e-girl makes 100x in a day what I might make in a month, I think I'll be infinitely more fulfilled as a hard-working artist than they are as an e-girl.

You don't charge by the hour or by labor. You charge by the percentage and subscription from your intelectual property.
Photoshop isn't just a free to use program, you have to pay a subscription to use it. Sure you can use it offline, but they have things in the program that block your usage if you don't use a crack. So every month, people have to pay $50 every single month constantly forever if they want to keep using it. Subscription base is the final form of the dungeon boss.

deertearss

In my opinion. Art is like sports. Only a small percentage can make a healthy living from it. For ever H.R Geiger there are a million artists that can't get the mainstream to appreciate what they are doing even if they sell out to try an entice them. I'm not saying to give it up of course, I'm just saying if a long period of time goes by and it's not working out....don't get into a rut. Find something else to do for a living and make art your personal hobby and keep it passionate.

Being this mad about making pics poor life decisions.
It's not to late to change your direction in life, user. Quit bitching about someone else who is cashing in and make some changes in your life and cash in.

Thanks for the supportive words, user.
I think I may be underselling myself a bit. I do charge quite a high wage when working with clients, businesses, etc. But again, competition is fierce, and its a race down to the bottom.

I do feel quite fulfilled. Ive made a lot of things that wouldnt exist without me, and I know Ive been able to benefit people in my own small way.
But that fulfillment is snatched away by the realization that Ive only eaten granola for the past 2 days because its all I could afford, and that a good portion of my entrepreneurial endeavors have completely failed and months of work have done very little for me except for the knowledge of how hard and cold the world is.
I just feel like I keep failing. It hurts, man.

I am glad you bring that up.
I am in the process of changing my model to something along those lines. Maybe charging per week of work. Thats in terms of working with clients, companies, etc.
It introduces all these strange logistic issues though. For example if I plan on doing around 20 hours of work each week that I charge, I can realistically only have 2 or 3 clients at once. With hourly if I have 5 people all wanting work from me, I can work with all of them, even if their project will get done slower.
A bunch of weird little things like that.
Idk I just need to jump in and see how it works though.

You think a degree doesn't have an expiration date? Unless you can prove you're in that degree field and you're up on the latest and greatest a STEM degree isn't worth the paper its printed on. If you're out of the game for a couple years you're out. No matter how many years of experience they'll take the fresh grad over the old hand if he hasn't been continuously in it.

OP I want you to know that the phrase "I made the mistake of moving to a city with one of the brightest tech schools... that's probably why theres so many tech jobs" opened a new avenue of thought in my head, like a small epiphany. The correlation of supply and demand where demand can come out of supply and it's not always the reverse. So know if you do kill yourself, which I would hold off on, I like your style.

In that same train of thought tbough; a perspective can be changed by the smallest thing. It just takes one piece of bad news about e-thots to skew our view. Or a sunny day and a high five from a stranger to profoundly effect our worldview. When I get like this I try to think about what my healthy brain would think and just do it. It's really hard sometimes, but really affirming that I'm the one in control, even when I'm not feeling myself. Let it wash over you and feel upset. Itll go away and in a couple months, when its sunny and warm again, you'll be glad you kept your head on straight

Thats an interesting thought user, your right though. I didnt even realize this weird supply and demand dynamic when I mentioned what I mentioned.
Thanks for the support. I dont think Ill be killing myself tonight. I got a couple of failures left in me before I am completely broken down. But I said that a couple of failures ago too haha, so well see.

Ill keep your ideas about perspective in my mind. I was definitely in a very easily skewed type of mood tonight, and not very in control of how I am feeling. A good mindset can do a lot for you though, its just keeping that type of mindset can be hard. Maybe thats the key too it all, who knows.

>I was literally on my floor rolling around in tears

imagine living in a first world country and being this much of a joke

I really like the phrase "dont beat yourself up too badly for your failures and dont pat yourself on the back too hard for your successes. It's all half luck." So maybe tonight you cant handle it, maybe tomorrow you invent the new chaturbate-hentai-ethot. Maybe you decide you wanna become a golf player or an exterminator. The world needs all kinds, you can only do what you can do. Happiness is temporary, satisfaction is not

>deertearss
I gotta watch myself, I could simp so hard over this shorty

trust me man, I felt pathetic doing it

My whole apartment is a depression pit right now, a dirty little hole from over a week of neglecting myself. I was just rolling around in dirty clothes and used cum tissues, that are scattered all over my floor.
I had a moment where I was like what the fuck am I doing. This life really sucks.

You cant hate me more than I hate myself, user.
But Im feeling better now tbh. At least a bit.

I haven't heard that phrase before. Its pretty accurate though.
We get sold the idea of hard work will take you anywhere. Who knows if it can? Its taken me for a fucking loop so far though.
Might steal that chaturbate hentai ethot idea though

Congrats, you've learned that humanity is fucking retarded. Exploit it for profit.

Cry about it, retard. Go make your own porn and profit, cunt rag.

Bro, just get a girlfriend and have her make an onlyfans. Tell her you'll do all the promo/shooting/planning and split profits 50/50.

Easiest money of my life. Your competition is literally women.

she makes about 2k after onlyfans cut and taxes

Since this thread is IT related

I have this idea. Modify the Tor Browser into a hacking tool. For an example a ddos tool. The longer the chain, the better. Make all of the linked IPs attack a certain address etc.
Mess with the program. It will pay off.

the tor browser is that already.

The fuck you mean?

Some of those old heads can make horses out of spaghetti code.

On the up: You won't have to give windys for a wendys burger in 30 years

Sounds like you chose a less financially viable option for the sake of your personal expression. Change course or stop bitching about the decision you made.

Believe me you can make an ugly girl the most popular girl by giving her a fucking personality

Most thots are soulless

beauty fades. its short term investment vs long term.

Maybe man, I really just want to be able to support myself doing things I care about.
But the world is tough. Not everyone can just make dope shit all day.
Im not really jealous or salty perse, I just kinda hate how the world works. That we cant follow our passions. Often people who do, like me, are stuck starving and emotionally wrecked.
The world benefits random exploitation much more than trying to do good.
But its whatever, im over it now(kinda). I kinda snapped for a sec

Kinda a cool idea
I fuck with brave pretty hard actually.
It has ddos tools in it?

>I really just want to be able to support myself doing things I care about

Absolute cope lmao. If you're actually good at your day job/passion, do it freelance and clean up.

If you can't find passion in fucking your girlfriend and taking nude photos for a living then bruh... you might be in the closet.

Retired oldfag here with some advice:
1) Ignore what society and media tell you is important. Who cares if that e-thot is rolling in cash, it's just wasted mind space to think about it. Focus on the goals at hand.
2) The degree and qualifications are no match for a good network. If you haven't been networking in school, you should try to start networking now. Yes, those networking events are insipid, but they're critical to making your career. Ten years down the road, someone you met at one of these events will have an opportunity. Engage people, civility costs nothing. Never burn your bridges.
3) When you do your work, do your best work. You would be amazed at how much more reward you will get simply for putting in more hours. The bar is that low these days. Do what you say you're going to do. People will notice.
4) Life is short. Don't waste it on frivolous things. Women are a massive time, energy, and money sink. Focus on building up your stash now, work hard at it, be good at your job, surround yourself with skilled people who appreciate your work. Relax, don't sweat the small stuff. Retire early.
Remember, there is one rule above all others for being a man: whatever comes, face it on your feet.

Do you think I have any chances to get a pretty gf? I'm too depressed to do something about my body shape

Attached: Screenshot_20200220-184744_Gallery.jpg (999x1060, 643K)

Then you'd be too depressed to be in a relationship, trust me. Get right with yourself.

this is not OP btw

Thanks for the advice, user
I have been working on building my network. Unfortunately Ive ostracized myself since I graduated college. I lost touch of a lot of my friends, and others in my network.
Part of it was me getting a bit of tunnel vision. Part of it is me moving away. Part of it is being anti-social. But I regret it now that Ive grown up a bit more, and progressed in my career. Not only for the network potential, but also because Im kinda fucking lonely.
I have been trying to do my best work. I really have. I actually just finished a contract with a client that I am quit proud of. I am hoping its going to attract some more potential clients and open some doors for me.
Life is short. sometimes I wonder if I am wasting it all by following my passion, and not having as much direction as I should. and if I should just quit and go travel or something. But I want to accomplish something with my life, even if that is kinda meaningless in the granscheme of things.

Nigga you're jealous of an ethot lmfao

Yeah get back in touch with people, see what they've been up to. It's tough for us anti-social people, but just think of networking as part of your job and it's an easier pill to swallow that way. It's probably the most important thing, and will help take your mind off of everything else too.
Quitting and going to travel are good goals, but you need to be realistic about how you're going to fund that. Don't do it unless you've got the stash to do it first. You should be able to take the money you have now and turn it into more money.
Sounds like you've got a good work ethic user, just let other people see that, and with patience you'll be rewarded.

Find her, marry her, divorce her, become rich. simple.

this.
Plus, there's a lot of people out there with inherited wealth that make more than 15k a month in investment income and don't have to whore themselves out.

yeah but the thing that you are doing will have a big pay off if you hone your craft. sluts will have their looks fade away only to realize that they are talentless superficial people with nothing to contriboot

You'll never amount to what the e thot already is, you're jealous. She makes thousands of neck beards happy, you on the other hand do not.

Cry faggot, that's fucking capitalism for you, it has never, within capitalism, been even considered that people will be paid based on effort. If that was the case fucking builders would be the billionaires. It's just that you're such a fucking brainless, incel moron you didn't even realize that until you saw a woman do it

10k a year? You must be bad at what you do

Yeah, I don't care about your gayass problem just post more of the girl
