Anyone else on Cred Forums dealing with a receding hairline? I'm almost 30 and my hairline has gone back over an inch already. I used to think the way I styled my hair hid it a little but looking at myself in the mirror and talking with friends I realized I was just fooling myself into thinking it wasn't obvious. My already low self esteem is getting worse and I'm not sure how to remedy any of this. I tried rogaine for a few months but it gave me bad dandruff so now I'm taking finasteride and hoping that works.
I wish I could grow a beard to really help but my genetics are absolute shit. So here I am, a balding manlet with a fat face and skinny arms. I think I might have to adopt a healthier lifestyle to compensate, work out, eat better, that sort of thing and hope that in the months to come I somehow get better.

Go to a dermatologist. They can prescribe some hormonal drugs that can slow down the process, also there are shampoos and hair mists/serums that actually make hair grow back, but only if the hair bulb is intact. If there is no hair bulb, it will not work.

You've got 3 ways to go:
Cheap treatments such as minoxidil (rub onto your scalp every day to stimulate blood flow to the area) or finasteride (pill that inhibits dht production and will noticeably slow your hair loss for a few years at most) and each of them has dubious rates of success. Some claim the 2nd gave them manboobs and killed their sex drive. I took it for 2 years and nothing like that happened but my body did develop a tolerance to it and after awhile it did nothing.
Expensive treatments like laser and follicle transplant which do work but not forever. Do you want to spend thousands of dollars just to have hair a few years longer?
