Im a poorfAg. Oldfag. I have an Hp netbook that was too slow to play movies off of my external hard drive... So i bought this.
The screen is nice...almost preferable to watch movies on this instead of my 50" think(?) Lg tv ($300).
ThinQ?
dont plan on doing anything major on it and sure your fine
Cool.
This is a good fapping device and fb shitposting machine.
Not particularly. You could put together a far better desktop for the same price, and if you were going for portable productivity you should have stepped up and at least gotten 16GB Ram and/or a discrete GPU; that intel iGPU isn't going to stretch particularly far on 8GB.
>iGPU isn't going to stretch
It's perfectly fine for watching gymnastics on youtube.
OP will be fine
Where, how?
I'm retarded
Thats what i needed to hear
What was the purpose of the machine? If it was to post on facebook and watch youtube you could have spent less at a pawn shop.
Do you mean, build it myself?
I'm sure he will, but the question wasn't whether he could watch softcore pornography on the laptop; he asked if he did a good boy purchase. If that's all he's going to do, for the price, the points would have been better spent on a chromebook and tendies.
Thats what I feared...
Pawn shops are a ripoff here. Too rural
Dells are AWFULLLLLL
>Integrated graphics.
>$600
Yeah you memed.
That's certainly one option. You can get, at the very least, a 1650s and an r5 2700 on a $600 budget build. Go a little over that and you could get a 1660s and a 2700x.
The best boon you are getting here is most of the technology is 'new.' This laptop will speed past any pawn shop laptop. However, I digress. If this machine was just to watch youtube videos, post on facebook, and maybe do a bit of school work you bought a dump truck when a Chevy S10 would have worked just fine. Overkill is what I'm getting at, son.
specs are okay. good on the m.2. you’ll notice the speed difference.
Only catastrophic hardware problem I ever had in 30+ years was with a Dell notebook. Never again
>intel UHD graphics
No
You made a horrible purchase
I overcorrected my initial mistake of going too small. I bought ab hp netbook from walmart for $100 and it stalls out when I try and upload a memory card with 20 photos on it...or Try to watch a movie off of my hard drive
For $100 more you could have gotten something with an actual graphics card.
If OP doesn't play games or only plays 10+ year old games it will work okay. But yeah Intel UHD is shit tier. Anything with a stand alone card would have been a better option and is in that price range. Even with an SSD, maybe not the m.2 though.
Okay porn machine I guess.
The CPU is the only thing that isn't 5+ years old by now.... for $600 you could buy a pretty stacked gaming notebook from ebay.
Nice paperweight
you may regret not waiting for ryzen 4000 in March

ANY GAYMERS IN THE THREAD?
pretty good for anything non-gaming.
>Dell
might as well just give your money to jews on the street

It's a mediocre laptop for mediocre use. Don't expect to game or do any heavy development on it.
Acer Nitro 5 15.6" Laptop: i5-9300H, 1080p, 8GB DDR4, 128GB SSD, GTX 1650
$630
Sorry Cred Forumsro, but this is a terrible purchase.
If you want a laptop with slightly better specs (16gb ram), a used laptop is definitely the way to go, because ebay is littered with them for around $200 to $300.
Also, if you want to spend the full $600 you could get a used Razer Blade 14 with a quad core CPU and dedicated graphics, this would be my choice.
You did a purchase.
It'll probably be a reliable tank that's mostly good for office work. They usually cost about this much.
Meh. I can tell you that Dells are sturdy as fuck. Some of mine have lasted 12 years and counting.
Dude, you're getting a Dell
So no, you did not do good dumbass.
For a couple hundred more bux you could've got an MSI.
