Have you ever seen dead bodies, before? What was the experience like? What about ever visiting a morgue, or a funeral home where they prepare bodies for burial, even acting as a crematorium?
Have you ever seen dead bodies, before? What was the experience like? What about ever visiting a morgue...
Yeah i'm catholic so i've seen tons of dead bodies. we like our open caskets. But the only real dead bodies i've seen are a couple car crash victims and the time i was a Juvenile criminal and they sent a group of us to the morgue and the coroner showed us dead bodies. This was hilarious because the coronor pulled out corpses and said "this guy is no different from you!" but then you see a giant swastika on his bicep lol.
Dude jumped off a bridge on to a highway. Drove past the body 20 seconds after he jumped. Twisted, broken lifeless body on the ground, blood everywhere. gruesome stuff
>Have you ever seen dead bodies, before?
Yes
What was the experience like?
They're dead. Cold.
>What about ever visiting a morgue
Yes. Had to IOD my sister
>or a funeral home where they prepare bodies for burial
Yes. Saw my father and my uncle laid out for burial
>even acting as a crematorium?
No
That's cool. No offense, but if you don't mind, could you talk a bit about why the dead seem to be such a big deal in Roman Catholicism, versus other denominations of Christianity? Most Christians seem to just lay them to rest after they die, but then Catholics have a lot of those elaborate underground, sometimes maybe even above-ground crypts and catacombs, which feature not only coffins, but also sometimes the human remains themselves, in plain sight! Also, why do Catholics pray to the dead, whether saints or Mary? From where in the Scriptures is evidence of support concerning those practices found, which the Catholic Church promotes as proper Christian behavior? It seems weird, and even creepy to me. Mexican people seem to take a lot of that stuff to extremes, as well as the Italians and the French.
I found my roommate's dead body one bright morning. Had no choice but to shake him to try to see if he was alive (although with the blood pooled to the bottom of him I knew already) and I doubt I will ever forget his cold clammy skin
My dad in a body bag the day after he had died.
I was 8 and I insisted on seeing him.
That was the last time I did.
I work in a morgue. So yes.
I used to work as a dialysis technician. One day a patient came in with low BP and during treatment it lowered even more. 50/34 I believe. He passed away in the facility. His face turned blue and blood was coming out of his mouth and nose. I was the one to cover him. The thing that striked me was I wasn't really affected by it. I had to pretend like I was shocked so I didn't stand out. It was my first patient death.
Deathbruther! I also do mortuary work.
To those who have seen dead people, especially with lots of trauma, do you feel like your years on Cred Forums, looking as shock sites/live leak shit prepared you?
I drive a train for a living so yes I have. 2 people have jumped infront of the train that I was driving. 1st one’s head came off so a lifeless body without a head. And the head was like a empty bag covered in blood. It was a male. Second time was a female. Just stood in the middle of the railroad staring me into the eyes. After the crash her body was pretty much okay but the brains came out the side of her head. Didnt feel anything both times. But now everytime I get drunk I start thinking about them; why they did it, why didnt they ask for help.. and ends up in me crying. Thats why I stopped drinking.
That's a new one. But I'll take it.
>And the head was like a empty bag covered in blood.
What?
I don't give a fuck what any of you nignogs say, Mcdonalds is alright man. Yeah it's not going to change the culinary fabric of our culture. If you want some top quality burger, you get what you pay for. Mcdonalds is cheap and cheerful and serves a purpose. Anyone who says otherwise is a poseur faggot fucking fight me.
Kuwait 1991 300+ dead iraqis in field morgue
I dont know about the broader scope of catholics views. but the local folk i know just prefer to see the fucker actually dead before we believe it.
Go back to cu/ck/
I went out on a rideout with a police officer. We were dispatched to a CPR death call. Now keep in mind, I'm not armed... I just got the opportunity to ride with an officer as a civilian. The officer tells me I can follow his lead if I want to, but it's completely up to me if I feel too uncomfortable since the person inside had been dead for hours. This person had a roommate, and the officer tells me that it must be treated as a homicide until a medical examiner investigates the body. So I decide that I can handle this, and proceed to walk into the house behind the officer knowing that I could be walking in to a murder scene.
You don't like Mcdonalds?
Wow you are so brave and special
saw a really nasty accident. driver hit a pedestrian. it was night time so at first i thought it was a deer or something until we came closer. i was riding shotgun and got an eyefull. The driver was sitting on the sidewalk, a few people from the gas station across the way were there with him and i saw the ambulance lights come over the hill from behind us.
anyway yeah. he was dead dead. his intestines were smeared and ground into the pavement and his head was twisted completely backwards. I thought watching gore vids/pics online since 1998 would make me numb if i ever saw something in real life. Totally didn't.
i remember telling my buddy driving "dont look dont look dont look" and then i heard him go "awww fuck, man". We rode most the rest of the way sort of stunned silence.
Thank you for finally answering my fucking question.
gtfo oldfag
Was at a Museum in Liverpool years ago and heard a thud behind me as I was walking to the next room.
The security and people around started freaking out and I didn't know what happened.
When I looked around, halfway across the room some guy had jumped from the 4th floor.
It was quite obvious he was dead since his head was cracked open and his neck had a right angle in it but everyone was moved to the next room quickly and it was cordoned off until the police/ambulance arrived. The only thing I remember was that we were moved into the room i was going into anyway and I just kept going with my visit.
ugh, fuck that. being the first one to find out someone's dead and finding it out by having to touch them. that's a horrible that goes all the way down to the pit of your primordial caveman brain.
sorry to hear you had to go through that.
Not to be an edgy 14 year old but I've seen plenty of dead people but I want to see someone die, in person. Obviously, preferably a stranger. I'm jealous of some of you guys.
i didnt even see it till now, lol. but yeah. its like when someone says you have to see the real thing to comprehend it, and they're talking a bout something like the grand canyon, or niagra falls or the leaning tower, except instead of it flicking on all the endorphins in your brain it makes you feel cold and wrong, like you need to get away and not look at it.
i think its why emt's, soldiers, police are all a little off. they got really good at handling something we're not supposed to have that much experience with.
Not same poster but I'm catholic and I've never been to an open casket funeral. I'm Australian though, maybe it depends on where you live more than religion.
well youre either a psychopath and you'll enjoy it or you'll be a normal person and you'll get that super disgusting hollow feeling. like the weird feeling you get after you cum from some really fucked up fetish multiplied up by a thousand.
Ive seen dead bodies at 5 funerals. 3 relatives died. Two of old age 1 of cancer. 2 friends of mine killed themselves in highschool.
Every time i go to one and see the body i think i should be feeling something. But i cant seem to truly care.
Why does nothing make me feel
pfft Australians don't die they just turn into boomerangs.
i haven't but this one guy i know told me a story. his neighbor banged on his door and she was frantic and worried about her husband who seemed passed out in the bathtub. he went over and he found this naked guy in cold water and "he was blue". he told her the guy was dead.
This is a psychopath.
I feel sorry for you guys. Seems like driving trains is one of the most traumatic jobs you can have these days. I have a buddy who became a cop and I swear he's seen less gore than the average train driver.
I asked because I feel like it did desensitize me my first time and wanted to know if others feel the same. Thank for your opinion man.
you probably had someone or a group of people in your past who exploited your expression of emotions. either that, or you believed you did. You learned the trick to hiding your emotions, and then you got so good at it that even you don't know what they are anymore.
life's fucked up. with practice and time though, it'll get better and you'll start feeling things again. hang in there.
Sounds like she did it
I worked at department of pathology in one of the biggest hospitals in my country. Every day started with greeting the corpse collector tossing bodies on his van to ferry off to funeral homes. And seeing whatever came out of these bodies during rest of the day. You either get desensitized quick or you pick another profession.
Did you give him mouth to mouth?
no prob. im sure watching gore mad it a little easier for me to process than someone who's never even seen a picture of a body looking like that, but it still fucked me up to see.
What do you do now?
Catholic here we open our casket to let visitors pay respect, pray for the dead and see the dead one last time before they bury them. Usually it takes seven before we bury them
i dont think he is. i think he's just gotten really good at burying his emotions and now he doesn't know how where to find them. at least that's what the last line makes me think.. i'm not a psychologist tho.
Never underestimate human stupidity and unwillingness to believe someone they love is dead.
wouldnt call it stupidity. more like shock and the brain trying to default to the least upsetting conclusion so it can keep ticking along.
Seen a few. Few family members, few friends, few strangers, few niggers / attackers.
It's really weird to see a friend or family member's body in the funeral home. Its like, it looks like your friend, but its dead, and not your friend. I've seen people go up and cry and touch dead bodies at funerals, but for me ... like, there was something in my brain that just stoped accepting them as a person, they were like a shell or husk that person used to live in. It made me a bit more spiritual to be around people when they were dying too.
I would have
Even worse it's his room mate
How can somebody do that to their friend
Fucked up
He should have killed himself outside
What an asshole
Yeah, both my grandparents on my dad's side. It's very surreal seeing a dead body laying up in an open coffin. What's stranger still is the feel of their skin. It doesn't feel like skin at all, it's like some strange cold material of unknown origin. Very odd experience, I'll always remember it.
What's worse is when people kill themselves and they live alone with pets. Depending on the pet it either starves or has to eat you to survive until you are fine.
*found lol
>Yes
>Normal
>Yes
>Yes
Anymore questions and I'll require an attorney.
I live in a third world country in South America, and over here you can literally die at any time from stray bullets and robberies. Needless to say, I've come across a dead body. It was actually in my neighborhood. I was walking to work at 8 A.M and I saw a crowd of people gathering around something, then I went to see what it was all about. Apparently, a cuban immigrant had gotten robbed and killed on his way to work at 6 A.M. The fucked up part is that there was a police station just two corners away from where he had been killed. Not even the threat of police will stop criminals from killing you. His body had holes in his chest and stomach, and his shirt had basically become a blood soaked rag. He had his arms above his head, which would indicate that he was in a submissive position before being gunned down. It honestly disturbs me how life doesn't mean anything here. I could literally die on my way to work, and police won't do fuck all to prevent it. His dead body probably won't be the last one that I see, and I'll probably be desensitized to it all the next time I see one.
I seen so many dead bodys I've lost count, I used to work in an end of life care home and people used to die every couple days, night or day before they die you can hear a crazy heavy breathing sound, I guess its the last gasps of air the body is taking before it shutdowns, when you hear that shit you know they wont be alive too much longer, white people usually turn yellow in skin colour and niggers stay niggers, after they die in the home the bodies are usually washed and adult diapers on put on them as they leak shit and piss, they cover them with sheets until the undertakers come and get the bodies
Pic related
Did mortuary duty in Afghanistan and I work in a hospital. Seen my share. First time it was emotional, after that you get used to it. It's just another stage of life.
sounds like a real shit hole tbh fam, what you doing up so early / late ?
