Seth is a performer not a director. American Dad does an amazing job highlighting this.
The older episodes are some of the best in my opinion, particularly Camp Refuge.
Then the show moved away from the politics of things and started to rotate around Roger, which isnt always a bad thing. They kind of adopted the family guy formula but do a much better job with it.
Steve's VA has made me bust a gut many times. He is great.
