I have no reason to own one. I don't consider guns an interest personally. I don't live in the US so it's not legal to own one here unless you got a license. Getting a license takes years, as you have to prove you can handle the responsibilities. Even if I do get one, I have to practice with it for it to be of any use to me, and since it's not an interest for me, I'm disinclined to do so. Burglary and personal robbery is pretty rare where I live, and crime resulting in someone getting severely hurt is even more rare. So to sum up: there's very little incentive for me to get one. Don't begrudge anyone getting guns though, I know some hunters personally and they like their guns. Good for them. Just not my thing.

this. I was thinking of maybe a long shotgun with bird shot. Taser or mace/both would be fine, plus once they are down i'm a big guy so I could beat the fuck out of them. Preferably a taser that shoots if thats legal for citizens. I don't see why not.

I'd reccomend starting from a 22 copy of an established firearm because the ammo is cheaper but the inner workings should be similar.
