clean up, workout, jerk it and do a project. today is day one for me friend. start with cleaning otherwise you'll be staring at those empty cans/bottles all the time
I had to take antabuse for a while. kept me off it for like 6 months. wouldn't recommend it..but I had no choice, and it worked
Any withdrawal symptoms after taking the tablets?
I am a heavy smoker. Any idea what kind of workout to do?
not at all, it takes a while after you stop taking for it to completely leave your system so there's no need to wean yourself off.
I used to be as well, when I quit that is when my drinking got much much worse. I just do basic stuff that you don't need equipment for, although I have a pull up bar. sit ups, pull ups, leg lifts and push ups. 3 sets of each. I keep a spreadsheet with my counts on each set and a date so I can keep track. started and stopped awhile ago but getting back to it today
Thats actually a good start.
Pour a glass a beer.
Then look at it and ask yourself
"Who's stronger? Me or this glass of poison"
Do this everytime you get the urge to drink
Worked for me idk

depending on how in shape you are and your current make up you will be able to more or less in each set, but shoot for a consistent number of each exercise and slowly increase this each time you work out. I am 5'11, around 178lbs with most of my muscle mass in my legs. I do 90 leg lifts, 60 sit ups, 36 push ups and 12 pull ups over three sets, on a good day.
Just a little bit of poison xD
and if you dont have a pull up bar, look into one that can be easily removed from a door frame. mine was $15 and I can use it for sit ups and push ups as well as pull ups. also dips but i dont do those
but the main thing is to keep your mind occupied. working out helps with this and tires you out but only occupies for however long you work out for. Im starting to learn russian on duolingo as well as getting back into programming and working on various projects.
Finally some time, drinking is the thing that keeps me away from staying productive
: dr gave me some anxiety meds back in November and little by little my cig and nicotine cravings waned. I Smoke one cig a day, if that.
How do you use a pull up bar for sit ups?
Also I have the over the door one and my.6.yr.old.son and 8 yr old daughter can do pull ups and I can't do a single one. I feel like shit even though I'm in reasonable shape (mild belly). Gotta get myself on that bar.
Switch to hard liquor
yerp, and excessive drinking compounds this because you never get good sleep and can never reach full productivity and thus end up drinking again. REM sleep cant be achieved for a day or two after excessive consumption
Monitoring this thread while drinking myself.
You know it's bad when you consider only drinking a six-pack of Bud Light for the night is a "compromise". I remember when I was a freshman in college and could barely stomach a couple of shots of Bartons. Now, 10 years later, I'm taking down 375s of Jack in the evenings and taking shooters before work or class. I'm aware many people have worse habits, but I have serious trends of alcoholism of both sides of my family and have too much to lose for this habit to get worse than it already is for me. Yeah, it's a bunch of wah-wah poor me shit, but nonetheless it's the reality of the situation. I have become reclusive, and irritable while at work. I want to stop this shit but I don't have any friends that live in town anymore. I'm bored as hell when I don't drink.
I hate myself right now.
if you get one that comes off, you should be able to brace it on the bottom of the door frame and lock your feet into it.
I was on that and antidepressants, drank beer and lost plot. Wrecked car, dont even know why I decided to drive. Sucks to be me right now. No more meds or beer.
I was drinking a fifth a night for at least a year. Then I cut back to a pint a night for a while. Then less. Now, when I do drink, which is a few times a week, I have like 4-6 beers.
There is no real answer other than STOP. It really is that easy. It's gonna suck at first, but it's all in your head. Literally just stop drinking. Find something else to occupy your time.
It may be easier to lower your intake before you quit cold turkey. I haven't really decided if I am going to quit completely. I feel SO much better drinking the way I do now compared to the past. I have zero urge to drink liquor anymore. I just lost the taste for it. Burned myself out.
How much do you drink OP?
I'd like to add....I quit drinking COMPLETELY for 3 months before I started drinking beer again. I never planned on quitting alcohol completely, I just knew that was the only way to get off of liquor. I know I can't control myself with liquor, plain and simple.
you need to figure out why you are drinking so much. dependencies 'generally' develop out of an emotional issue. for me it was graduation from college and not finding degree work for almost a year and a half. I ended up at a deadend job with with exmeth heads just to make ends meet and that caused me to spiral more. but I kept my head up and eventually found work that used my degree and was enriching. not drinking became very easy at that point. also, like you i have horrible alcoholism on both sides
I get pretty bad into the sauce not long ago and went to a doctor and he gave me Naltrexone. I'd take a pill 1 hour before drinking and when I drank I wouldn't feel that euphoria all alcoholics are trying to get. I'd drink 12+ beers when I'd go out and blackout but after taking that I would only drink like 6 max and end up giving away my beers. Took that for a while but never ended up going back because I started working more and doing more hobbies. I still drink but haven't really had a bad experience since, if I fall off the wagon again I'm definitely going back for more
Random story but.....
I recently watched the JRE episode with Jake the Snake Roberts. He himself had a huge problem with drugs, alcoholic, and hookers. He told a story about how his grandfather was such a bad alcoholic that he would get drunk, pass out, piss himself in his recliner, then get mad he was covered in/smelled like piss, and beat Jake's grandmother. Then eventually his wife got fed up with the drinking and ordered him to get in under control, so he took a cab to the next county to get Antabuse injections, a doctor to sign a note stating that he was there and received it, then take a cab to a different county and get a bottle of whisky. He would drink even though it made him physically ill and vomit everywhere.
Fuckin' alcoholism, man.
Hows antabuse like?

vape nic salts (not the freebase nonsense)
but Uwell Caliburn and Nic Salt juice from LevelUp vapor (25mg) any flavor you like.
if that doesn't satisfy you go for 50mg.
not kidding that shit makes me not even want to look at cigarettes anymore. it has enough nicotine to satisfy your cravings for cigarette
Disclaimer: it's not necessarily 'quitting'. You're just replacing a harmful nicotine delivery device with something that's not gonna kill you, will cost less, and is more discrete. Make no mistake, if you run out of vape, or if it magically dies on you, you'll still be craving cigarettes like a motherfucker.
fucking A. loved it
