not too shabby, got into a small hurdle on the way and i figured i might aswell take a break from it and move onto a small project, i was supposed to finish the small project within 3 hours, took me over 7, it just wasn't working right even though the code looked fine, i rewrote it and went through it like 50 times, and right around half an hour ago i realized it was all because the output should've been an alpha image, not a regular image, so i've been pretty miffed about it

I have my experience with UNI-T and its crap. worthless crap.
If you want a usable scope, buy a Siglent or Rigol. actually I've got a Siglent SDS 1104X-E and I'm very pleased. the cost of this unit might be off your budget. but siglent also got other scopes for less money. check out Siglent SDS1052DL+. I have no experience with it but they should have used the same UI and OS.
Justo don't go for Owon or UNI-T. with siglent or rigol you can't do anything wrong. best: check out youtube reviews :)

images can be "RGB", or they can be "RGBA"
RGB images store only the red green and blue values of each pixel in the image, while RGBA stores an additional slot that decides how transparent the pixel is
since the program i wrote expected 4 slots and got only 3, all the colors shifted 1 to the right causing a really glitchy image, but i keep learning new ways to be more efficient, so i'm not entirely angry at this

thanks for the advice, your solution would work but it would be a bit more resource intensive
the 2 pictures i'm isolating need to both be rgb or rgba, so i've just prevented from mixing them up, and the output image wasn't written right due to it being rgb and being fed rgba values, a simple change fixed that

there are more than just these 2, there's a whole assortment of modes for an image, but if its png its an rgba and if its a jpeg its an rgb
i should do the same, still haven't compensated for my sleep deprivation, so i might aswell cut it off fairly early
