The issue with this virus is how deadly it isn't. The mortality rate is like 2%, which isn't too high, but it's contagious like the cold or flu.
I read somewhere that soon, this strain would infect 40-70% of the world population. Lets say half of the population is infected, and you just lost 80 million people. If it becomes a common occurrence like the common cold, you would have a 1 in 50 chance of dying every time you catch a cold. I don't like those motherfucking odds.
