It's a manga that's been running for 20+ years now, and it's pretty incredible. One of the things that's most interesting about it, is that the author has basically reinvented himself in his style several times throughout the series, while still keeping it true to its roots. During the first 10 volumes (referred to collectively as the "Golden Age" arc), it's basically gritty 80s style manga of purely dark medieval warfare, becoming borderlined historical fiction. but in volumes 11-12+ literally hell opens up and pours itself onto earth evil dead style but in a completely serious manner. Over the next ~5 volumes you have every bit of bad in his world corrupted and risen to full blown demonic rape-fests; corrupt priests burning everyone at the stake, packs of roving goblins kidnapping women, raping and impregnating them to make more monsters, an evil god-emporer who tries to take over the world etc. It then turns into a traditional swords/sorcery fantasy where Guts assembles a team of rag-tag heroes to destroy the five God Hands of hell, one of whom was his best friend and rival during the Golden Age.

It will be one of a few things
1. Guts lets go of his hatred and choses to live with the newly untarded Casca in a safe haven while Griffith runs his shit
2. Guts loses Casca for real and uses Mr Becchi to become an Apostle
3. Guts keeps putting the Dragonslayer through apostles and monsters to the point that it can hurt Griffith
4. Something happens and Guts straight up kills the Idea of Evil, circumventing having to fight the God Hand at all

I'm hoping on this one, I love the concept of the Dragonslayer becoming more and more harmful to astral/otherworldly beings.
2 is great for the tragedy of Casca dying, but I don't want to see Guts use a behelit. He's a human right down to the fucking marrow in his bones.
I don't see Guts going out of his way to kill Griffith, no. I think Griffith will wage war on Elfhelm, and Guts will have to retaliate, and try to kill Griffith in self-defense/to protect Casca.

All my stuff just barely fits into my medium-sized car. Except for when I moved my desk. It didn't quite fit in the trunk; couldn't close it, so I used the power cord for the tire air compressor and tied the trunk hatch down. It worked I just didn't go over 20 and avoided bumps in the road.

It's bound to happen, Griffith did seek out and kill Flora because she was a powerful mage. Danan should be more of a threat, but maybe Griffith couldn't find Skellig/Elfhelm. In any event, now that he has the world tree railroad, it shouldn't be too long.
I will have an erection when I see Danan's horrified face as the forest is set on fire and everyone she knows and loves is lying on the ground, bloody and raped.
