Male, 30, 182cm, 75kg lean muscular build.

I sat on the loo and when I'm in the rising position to get up from sitting, my left outer thigh screams out in pain.

ANY weight on the leg hurts immensely. I had to jump on my right leg to get here and the bouncing motion even made my left leg ache again.

What could have happened? I have not worked out as of late and I'm in overall good health.

It's quite warm & dry inside my apt.
I'm hydrated and fed but I am a bit sleep deprived due to 3months old baby.

Suggestions?

How about you go to the doctor and have him/her check you out?
"Remote diagnosis" , especially via Cred Forums is such a wrong way to perform.

Damn that sounds scary :<
Looked up the symptoms and I'm not feeling any particular warmth or rising pain, it's specific to the thigh.

I can’t believe you have kids and you’re asking us for advice. The world is doomed.

Considering it's my leg I'm not that worried.

Visiting the hospital for this would have me wait for 20+ hours during the flu season on an already overcrowded swedish healthcare that recently got corona, no thank you.

Appreciate the concern though. If it worsens I'll have no other choice but to go.

If this was 1990 Sweden I wouldn't be asking ya'll for advice but I'd get a doc appointment within the minute. The socialist party however thought mass-immigration was a good idea so here I am.

What shitty country are you living in, that you can't hop into a doctor's office to get checked out???

Alright leg is already starting to feel better. Read up on Pulmonary embolism just in case though.

I'm living in Sweden. Again, flu season and 20+ hours of waiting time for anyone that isn't having an ongoing heart attack or other life-threatening event.

I really don't want to catch the flu just because my leg randomly hurt.

You didn't say if that's only if you take a shit, or everytime you get up from any sitting position, if that's just happened or have that symptoms for days, weeks, months even?

I'd put money on nerve impingement of some sort. Herniated Lumbar disc, or muscle spasm around your cauda equina.

Try stretching so the sore side is "longer" and all the bones/muscle structures are further apart. Gently hold stretch for 30secs and look for genuine (not placebo) relief.

>Shitposting Ausfag with similar issues.

Not a normal thing and it has never happened to me before.

It felt a bit like when I tore a ligament while thai boxing in my teens. But it's improved to much in to short at time for it to be that. It did hurt 10/10 as it happened and the following 10 minutes though.

I'm guessing I was so tired that I simply sat up in an improper way that twisted something and caused a micro-tear.

Further to this, the muscle spasms can be stress related - key hint being your new kid.

I do have an old issue with my lumbar from skating too much. Felt nothing in my back sitting up though, just a shot of pain in the leg.

Can a muscle spasm just hurt like a bitch while not actually spasming out? It wasn't like a cramp where the muscles spasm. It was more like you tore your ankle while playing football kind of pain.

The spazzing muscle relentlessly crushes major branch of upper leg muscles. Feelings can include pain, sharpness, pins and needles, heat, cold, etc. The signals get scrambled...

trapped nerve?

Meralgia Paraesthetica , google it

>Meralgia Paraesthetica
ty. Meralgia sounds like it's spot on too.

all y'all don't have flu shots in Sweden? liniment plus ice is a good start.

Goto doctor, but I'd say it's a disc problem but you can rule that out by putting you leg under stress till it is painful and if u don't lose strength then it might be something else....just goto a fking doctor

Welcome to your 30s. Everything hurts and your doctor is suddenly really interested in sending you places where they put cameras in your asshole.

Firstly, some baseline medical advice rule of thumb.
Pain is not indicative of a serious problem for the most part. You can be in a torturous please-just-kill-me amount of pain, it doesnt mean fuck all. You could also have extremely mild and totally ignorable pain, and it could be something fatal. As my doctor and some nurse friends put it: fevers; Thats when youre probably in trouble.
Tl;dr never panic just because something hurts a lot. The severity of pain is practically meaningless as a sole symptom.

Secondly, maybe sciatic? I have sciatic nerve issues. Its morning where i am and im about to stand up. A pain will shoot down my back and leg, ill have to brace myself against my wall to not fall over, then ill limp dragging my dumbass leg to the bathroom for my morning piss. In 10 or so minutes itll stretch out and ill be fine for the rest of the day.
I have worked a lot of heavy labour, still do, and ive had an accident before. Thats why i have this so bad.

Youre describing something similar. Could be it. It goes away in a week or two, and over the counter anti inflammatories worm great. Your doctor can get your muscle relaxants if you need better.

Sounds like leg cancer don't bother going to a doctor for any real advice you should just kill yourself now before it gets worse

it's covid-19 faggot

Sorry OP, I didn't clarify. It's not your muscle that hurts. It's your crushed nerve(s) wrongly telling your brain that your muscle hurts.
As this good gentleman has alluded to.

Penis Trombonists. Disregard.

Thats a nerve issue.
Pain comes from nerve signals not the muscles themselves.
Pinch a nerve with so much as a mild inflammation and it can put you in bed for days..
