the planes on 9/11 went into the towers at between 500-600mph at level flight to impact. those are official numbers from the radar blips, FFA, and NTSB.
But planes can not go over 300mph at that fligth level (below the height of the towers). It's because the engines are not designed for that air pressure. At 30,000 feet we can hit over 600mph.
tl:dr,
The planes on 911 were small missile, and the TV covered it up with overlaying CGI.
In both cases, the speeds can't hit 500+ unless it was faked.
