So apparently i haven't been keeping up. Who is spider gwen, are her books any good and if so where should i start?
Long story short, she was introduced during Spider-Verse and got her own series because she was a huge hit.
Marvel cashed in on it by having a bunch of Gwen variant covers and giving her her own series. After it stopped being #1 and huge drops in leadership its sales numbers eventually stabilized into a range that's normal for books with an A-list reference in its name.
The rise in popularity with Gwen is also the reason why Gwenpool is a thing.
