I mean... At least FBZ was a change of pace after the roller coaster of a finale? It was somber, quiet, restrained. It showed a story of two characters we didn't interact with much up to that point. You know, much like Last one out of Beach City was a good change of pace- it was a solid way to end the show before hiatus on a high note. It was fast, quirky, it subverted the themes and characters, it created new conflicts for the future.

In contrast, Onion Gang is an abomination of an episode and a lesson on how to NOT write. Jesus fucking christ that episode was useless.

Yeah she evidently struggles with her Pearliness, but I also think Pearl is a prime example of what it is like to not be a Pearl.
