After the second volume of LOEG. Granted the first two volumes are above average compared to his previous works, but they are still a fun read. Black Dossier is alright despite having a weak story.
It is around Century that it seems he is getting tired of it.
I think Century gets a bad rap. Sure it's disjointed and a far cry from the adventurous tone of the previous installments, but as a plot to hang it's details on it's pretty entertaining.
A bunch of ineffectual douches who are loathing around with personal drama and continuously failing to foil the apocalypse, and it gets good mileage from that. I don't hate Orlando as much as others do and find the whole thing hinges on that character, and overall is pretty okay for the moments Moore gives.

The thing that really turns me off from hopping right on it is I really don't give a fuck about little Englander life. I'm not from the UK, I've never been to the UK outside of the London airport, I have no interest in the history of Northamptondevonshire and it's residences or whatever the setting is. I love Moore and trust him implicitly but it's hard to get excited to read a doorstopper about something I know nothing about and have no particular interest in learning anything about.
