Hmm, expecting at least Blue Beetle to be the first title to slide off to at least 40K (I could be wrong, the Rebirth Titles are actually holding their numbers pretty good) and contrary to what everyone is expecting I'm expecting a boost in numbers for the Rebirth titles this month once Diamond stops reducing their numbers here, probably not much, maybe around 1-3% of what we've seen here, %5 is already pretty ballsy, if there's a drop I'm expecting at least a %10 drop at the least with almost 15% for a huge drop. all in all, I'm just glad that Superman is doing really well.

Flash has fallen to regular attrition. We’re getting higher drops due to the second wave of bi-monthly titles coming out - Hal Jordan, Justice League, Nightwing, Deathstroke, Harley Quinn and Suicide Squad. So I’m not too worried. Overall, each bi-monthly title has dropped ~20k, which is fine after doubling bi-monthlies. Action Comics, Detective Comics and Green Arrow are champs and have largely dropped just ~10K.

Yes. It's still very early in the release. Most titles experience massive drops (more like 20-30k across the first couple of months) after initial release until they settle in. I'm not sure why you're seeing 10k as troubling or why you see the first arc as relevant when big drops pretty much always happen before the first arc concludes.

The weirdest drop is ASM 16 to 17, going from 185k to 74k. Like....why? (also weird that 185/74 = 2.5 .... was there some incentive nonsense to get make sure people order 2.5 times as much as normal?)

Otherwise, I'm mostly happy. A lot of DC drops suck but, honestly, you have to expect them. While the reader-base has grown, it hasn't ballooned -- the number of regular paying customers is still roughly the same, and those customers aren't going to spend everything on everything.

I fear the October minis will be murdered by Marvel's relaunch. If only DC released them sooner.

No, because that's not how Diamond sales figures work. These are number of issues ordered by retailers, not number of issues bought by consumers.

Retailers could be 100,000 copies of a comic and that comic could only actually get bought by one person leaving 99,999 copies sitting in dollar bins across the country, but it would still count as 100,000 copies sold.

16 was the "start" and prologue to Dead No More/The Clone Conspiracy. (16 and 17 were officially solicited as "Before Dead No More").

So, from my perspective, I'd kind of expect 17 to get even a *slight* boost, since it's in the same storyline. The fact that it went right back to normal ASM levels is at least a bit troubling -- because that means shops are saying, "We don't really care to order more. Even if future readers want the whole prologue, we're not going to order more right now."

No, it's because of insane incentive variant covers. The same trick that Marvel uses to artificially boost their #1s fairly often.

Batman alone is reason enough to keep double-shipping for as long as possible. You're really not going to get 200k from two books in the same month, but double-shipping makes that easy to imagine.

It's pretty much what is saying. Double-shipping books with B-listers and higher is smart. Otherwise, you're taking a much bigger gamble that a C-lister character/concept will do well enough to replace or exceed the second biweekly issue of the B-lister book. And not only that, but you need a completely different art team; maybe a different writer; maybe a different editor; etc.

It also creates a bigger safety net, so DC could afford to gamble on a few experimental titles

Batgirl and B & BoP suffered from huge drop which honestly surprising to me. Detective Comics is stable and doing well, but I still expected better considering how hard DC pushed it. Batman is Batman. Nightwing in just two months suffered from 30k drop, but it still not bad. Red Hood is doing well and definitely better than I expected.

Batgirl's drop is pretty normal. Burnside Babs settled around 30k, so it's got a long way to go before it gets there.

Detective Comics is seeing standard attrition, it just didn't get the #1 issue bump that others did

Nightwing's drop off is really low compared to the standard attrition rate

Red Hood had a good #1 sales-wise, but it's probably going to have a drop similar to Batgirl or Titans (30-40%)
