>good classic haunted house junk
This is based on a real place called The Winchester House , it's the one haunted house I actually want to visit. It's not just the haunting, I want to see the nonsensical architecture like stairs that lead nowhere or a door that's just a straight drop from the 4th floor
This issue might be important?
...
yeah, it's mentioned in the introduction too. Moore's use is great
I forgot to link the old threads
...
very subtle art
...
...
...
the hand on top of the head is what really sells it
YO
man thing gets 2 cameos in this issue by my count

He's a frequent guest in group shots of Parliament of the Tress
Like seeing Galactus in the Source Wall

I love it, especially with the characters origins.

How long has "The Green" and "The Red" and all those other kingdoms been a thing?
I only sort of got into Swamp Thing through Cred Forums story times year or so ago when there was that big event going on with all the different kingdoms trying to kill eachothers champions off.
...
My favorite arc ever.
Thank you.
...
I think everything but the Green was new in/for the nu52 but I'm probably wrong
lol karl rove telling a story about a little girl beating him up because he supported nixon (she was catholic and for kennedy)
The Green starts here
I want to say Jamie DeLano creates The Red in his Animal Man run

Aren't these guys actually a real cult?
my favorite part of marvel bitching is ignoring that the white heroes they "want" have a book 95% of the time
...
...
...
...
...
Goddamn, just short of my favorite single issue ever.
...
I love when Phantom Stranger does the thing
it's too long! and so climatic. gonna do it all on it's own tomorrow.
this is how you use this guy
...
...
ok so remember when everyone said Justice League Dark was a dumb idea because the heroes wouldn't team up? they were kinda full of shit huh
...
...
>97 model ford basilisk
haha
...
The gray was originally the Parliament of Stones, wasn't it?
this is like a Doom Patrol guy?
There's a robot Parliament too right? I feel like Cyborg hinted at that coming back.
...
That's it for tonight! Hope you enjoyed!
Be seeing you
>swamp thing walks into a room full of super heros and goes "Man, you guys are fucking weird."
kek
Yeah Silver Age DP. I'm glad DC is putting out a collection
tfw you wanna/would rather read Silver Age b4 Morrison run
I'll wait happily.
Are there any really good swamp thing collections like an omnibus or anything?
Seems like its really hard to find nice collections of old books, that are reprinted with the original coloring.
Not really. The best ones available are the hardcover volumes (6 total which are way oop). I can't speak for the newer tpb editions.

>Spawn
Speaking of Spawn, does Snyder's Swamp Thing remind anyone else of Spawn? The way he handles Alec Holland, the war between the Green, Red, and Rot, not to mention Swampy's "angelic" look, all remind me of Spawn.
