My issue with Sadie's Song is actually the same issue that I have with Onion Gang, there's not much to it. Most episodes do the character thing at the same time as they do something else. Like Tiger Millionaire and Reformed both go into Amethyst's massive issues, but they do this at the same time as the tell a cute story and Amethyst and Steven in tag-team wrestling, or hunting a monster. Sadie's Song was just Sadie's self-esteem issues and her overbearing mother, and that's it. There's no adventure, no interesting story or reveal of setting information to frame it in, it feels to me at least like its not enough to carry an episode. Onion's Gang feels the same way to me. A look at Onion's friends certainly isn't out of place in this show, it just isn't really enough to carry an episode in my opinion.

There was an actual thing that the show was only greenlit up to Season 5, but that doesn't mean that it's a final decision. It could be that the network and the Crewniverse and also any unions they're involved with, if any, are still in the process of re-negotiating their contracts and that more seasons will be confirmed once they finish. Or new seasons may be guaranteed anyway and they just haven't gotten around to officially confirming them yet.

The story intersting you but the show not interesting you just doesn't make sense. If the animation style is just that offensive to your eyes then maybe it's just not for you at all. And if that's the case that's okay, any given property doesn't have to be for everyone. There must be an episode guide on a wiki somewhere that you can just look at descriptions and watch one that sounds like it interests you at any rate.

Not a whole season.The way I want to see it is the way that very few series have done it, but I think it SHOULD be done this way.

Each episode is approximately 11 minutes and each season approximately 26 episodes. Meaning that if they do 15 episodes, then sacrifice the last 11 episodes to do a 121 minute theatrical film that would essentially be those episodes, but with a much bigger budget.

Why don't epic stories do this more often? I would have loved for Star Trek DS9 to have done that with their final 2-parter.

what do you mean by seasons. When people talked about season 3 back then it was in the context of a 52 episode season, while we were still in the first half of the 52 episode season 2.

Then CN officially announced seasons 3-5, which were actually just renaming the already ordered episodes into 26 episodes per season than the original 52 episodes.

Matt did not know about the seasons being split, but said it didn't really matter since the actual story process is effectively unchanged.

The season numbering is just there for possible BD/DVD release sets. The actual story, as we see, carries over from season to season.
