I continue to wish that the Lions/Voltron ever, ever got visible battle damage. The worst that's ever happened has been some scuffed paint, vague electricity effects, and the controls randomly not responding. As it is, there's just no real sense of peril during the robot battles.

They could be building up to a big shock-and-awe moment where one or more of the Lions gets horribly mangled, and them seeming indestructible up until then lends it more weight. I don't really think this is the case, but I can hope.

From what I've seen of both characters in S1 I don't have any interest in it whatsoever and if the characters stay on their current track I'm probably going to hate it. I'm willing to give it a chance though before I decide for sure that it's garbage. It's the canon couple from the original continuity so I hope they're not stringing them together because of that, because then it's going to fall apart if it feels like it's being done out of obligation rather than because the characters are able to fit naturally.
