The setup for this page was the state cop basically saying 'we don't give a flying fuck about the robot fights, but we feel like there's somebody manipulating and fucking over the fighters'

combine that with multiple pages of pink robot being an aggressive bitch doing things to both bubbles and faye that come off as passive-aggressively bitchey.

The comic is terrible, but this is a pretty-well set up plot.

Well my hold-up has been that I went on hiatus due to life crap and I don't want to start drawing pages until I feel that my work is stable enough to at least pretend to be consistent with my art. I never really looked at it as a big money-making/profit venture. Just a neat community project to work on. If I felt the stakes were higher/the money or profit was there, I probably would bow out entirely and ask one of my associates if they'd like to take the project.

Her body armor is probably something that she bought or just came with her chassis and granted to her when she was honorably discharged from the military. There's also a possibility that she had to provide her own gear when she signed up for the military or that they have a militia-like setup in this world where individuals are issued gear that they are responsible for maintenance and upkeep of. Her armor could also be along the lines of a basic uniform and only provide moderate protection anyway. I doubt that it's like a set of mkVI Mjolnir armor.

Could be a lot nastier than a Mjolnir - consider a massive alloy skeleton, human like. Power plant and whatever in thorax, a heavy duty nanosuit style musculature, some sort of buffering layer and passive armor over that. No need to protect anything squishy inside the suit, or even semi-squishy like a SPARTAN.
I suppose any armor modules incorporating stuff like microbot hives would be replaced with purely passive ones, but Bubbles' (?) design implies she's a tool user, her main weapons would be carried or worn.
Tl;dr in a brawl I wouldn't be surprised if Bubbles couldn't own John-117 to the point where her main issue would be not killing him.

Yeah, she should basically be nanosuit plus even without it. She may or may not be able to think fast enough that being faster will actually be useful, though.

Well most people in Cred Forums just want to make fun of the comic, but generally making a lot of reliable content is a good way to get support for your project if you're wondering why the comic has a following.

A guy that I follow on YouTube (morninafterkill) put it perfectly. If you want to be successful, then upload something every day. Based on that statement alone, a couple of his folowers made somewhat of a name for themselves and gained popularity for their channels. Comics work the same way.

You don't even have to please most people. If you get enough eyes on your stuff, then 10% of them supporting you can make you a success.

Way back in the early days of webcomics and few actual internet pages there were like only a dozen or so worth reading.
They used to link to each other and everything to help get more page views and shit.

QC updated regularly and it was comfy. It didn't get into as much stupid crap as the others. Go look at It's Walky for example.

Well, I wasn't thinking about DBZA when I did that but I'll give them the cred for inspiration none the less for the sake of argument. I was just thinking about typical excuses a guy would give when his girlfriend breaks the news that she's pregnant+the fact that bubbles wears armor and is probably a robo virgin so she doesn't know the robo birds and bees or something. Of course DBZA did the bit before I did and I am a fan of the series . So that might have affected the joke a bit.
