You have to admit, for how completely unintentional it was, this movie launched at a hilarious time for what it's story was. It was a perfect shitstorm how it lined up with events like it did.

Look at Kubo. Some people were upset because it was (and this is a quote from a major published review) "indoctrinating kids in an irrational belief system." But you know what people are talking about it and East Asian philosophy is pretty unique in American kids' films so it deserves being highlighted more than another movie about a badguy we all know is bad but the hero needs to convince everyone else this is true.

I read a scathing opinion of Wreck It Ralph that it teaches an awful message that if you're unhappy with your lot in life you should ruin it for everyone else. The way I interpreted it it's saying that you should make your position better, Ralph didn't destroy his game in the end like the villain did.

>birds are living a happy, homogeneous society
>the birds are suddenly visited by a few green pigs out of nowhere for some unknown reason
>green pigs claim they are peaceful and introduce birds to new inventions & technology
>more pigs immigrate to bird society and the pigs are welcomed with open arms since they appear to be integrating well with the bird society
>one red bird is suspicious and finds out what the green pigs motives are which is to steal all the bird eggs and blow up the village right as they leave
>red bird and his friends try to warn the others, but the village explodes and the green pigs manage to get away
>after finding out who destroyed the village, all the birds travel to the green pig's nation, fuck their shit up and reclaim their eggs
>red bird is regarded as a hero and is rewarded for his actions at the end
>after the credits, it shows some green pigs survived and started planning a new way to steal the bird's eggs
