About 10 episodes in and I already got used to Garnet's design and have acknowledged Pearl and Amethyst's to be kinda alright.

I pretty much stayed because of Peridot and Greg in the later parts.

Lore was the reason the fandom grew though. I mean Simon's video tape apparently garnered a shitstorm at Cred Forums and every Marcy-IceKing episode was hyped while Finn just made himself feel so...redundant and desperate to get laid.

They don't spend that long on this shit, and they certainly shouldn't be given the type of inaction happening in episodes and if they did then how are there still so many fucking animation errors/inconsistencies god damn. They just dump episodes in large batches in order to eat up a large chunk of CN's timeslots so kids can't avoid seeing it during afternoon/evening prime time.

Flame Princess was when the show made the drastic shift to be almost nothing but relational stuff, with the fantasy setting serving as a background rather than an active part of the series. A lot of people left the show at that point, although I heard that the recent seasons have tried to go back to the original seasons' feel and setups.

Finn and the audience come to learn a truth that changes the entire perspective on every episode before this and then just cuts to black.

I could see it being both. Finn's about 17-18, now, so he's pretty much an adult. With the seasons being more and more about him maturing into his own kind of adult, it makes sense to end the show when he's fully grown.

I came into the show sorta late, only catching up to it after the fifth season began. It's had it's ups and downs, but on the whole, I still love the show. I'm a little sad that it will be ending, but I'm glad that it has room to end on it's own terms.

I'm kind of in a state of shock, now that Regular show and adventure time are going away i'm officially no longer part of CN's target audience.
