DC's official description for the first issue reads:

"He-Man and the Masters of the Universe team up with the ThunderCats—the epic crossover event you’ve waited thirty years to see! In his ever-living desire to destroy the mighty ThunderCats, Mumm-Ra quests for a weapon that can rival the legendary Sword of Omens: He-Man’s Sword of Power! But his dimension-spanning scheme kick starts a cataclysmic crisis that will embroil heroes and villains—Masters, Mutants and ThunderCats—in a mind-blowing six-part saga!"

He-Man/Thundercats is co-written by Rob David and Llyod Goldfine. The series is drawn by Batman/TMNT artist Freddie E. Williams II. The first issue will be released on Wednesday, October 5.

Well in these pages it was answered the question, who between Orko and Snurff is the most usefull.

That Mumm-Ra's transformation sequence looks so badass!

Holy fuck! Barbarian He-Man is finally back.

Wow. The artwork in this page is superb.

This fight didn't turn well for Mumm-Ra apparently.

Do Snarf and Orko die? Please?

For Orko, they tried to get rid of him, in the previous comic run. He was basically absent , and he appeared only in a couple of issues in the crossover with the DC heroes, and nowhere else. But since this crossover is dealing with the 80's versions, they had to bring Orko back. At any case Orko can be useful sometimes, like in the preview here. But Snarf is completely useless in comparison.

I'm kinda annoyed that it isn't a continuation of the last He-Man run

Snarf works better as a mascot pet.

Orko is wasted potential, the character.

Like, he should be an absolutely powerful mage... but you know. Being in Eternia has caused his magic to kinda fizzle every now and then.

Like, Orko can't prestidigitation or whatever... but he can stop debris from crushing civilians. It's all about whats good for the story.

It would be difficult for casual readers or the Thundercats's fans to follow what happened with the Masters of the Universe world, which was turned upside down and changed to a completely different status, with the end of the Eternity War. Since this is a crossover with the Thundercats that never happened before, they decided to go with the 80's versions, for obvious reasons.

In the preview's page, i noticed that Orko uses his wand. If i remember well his wand helped him to focus better his magic, but he lost it when he saved Adam's life, when he was a kid. It appears that he found it here. For this reason he looks more capable with his magic in this case.

This looks pretty awesome

Mumm-Ra vs He-Man??!!

It seems pretty weird that it's taken until 2016 for this kind of crossover to exist. Thundercats crossed over with Superman and Battle of the Planets twice before it crossed over with He-man. It's all very strange. I imagine it's some kind of rights issue.

That being said, this looks like it'll be great fun like the first 2000's Thundercats comics released. Not like the weird "Cheetara gets literally raped and the twins are turned into sex slaves" edgy miniseries that came later.

Yeah. It was indeed a rights issue.

WB onws Thundercats. And Mattel owns Masters of the Universe. But since DC is owned by WB, and DC is doing the He-Man comics since 2012, it was possible to have finally this crossover be made.

As for the crossover, the creative team already revealed that they are following the 80's classic versions, so there is not such a possibility, for being any connection with the 2004 miniseries.

Bump

Yeah I noticed that the Eternia in here is not the one from the DC comics since Adam is not king.
