Well, it was implied. It definitely wasn't confirmed though since they specifically wanted to keep him maybe alive in case they would need him later.

Everyone just ASSUMED death and then spread that around as fact, with nothing to back it up. General rule for media: if you don't see the body, nothing's confirmed.

As I said, they didn't make it clear either way on purpose. If they had no need for him then at some point it would probably be stated that he died but since they included him he obviously isn't. And since that scene was so vague they don't have to explain it in any way since there's plenty of possible explanations on how he survived. And no, everyone didn't assume he was dead. Most people thought he survived or that the writers didn't decide at that point.

I was thinking more how he got out of it alive, what he's been up to since then, and why the new body?
I mean it was Starscream so obviously he was going to come back with a continuation but in-universe everyone seemed to think he was dead.

Well we got a new episode two weeks ago, and we got a new episode a week ago, and we got a new episode yesterday, so we should be getting a new episode in a week.

It's almost as though new episodes are coming out on some sort of... weekly schedule.

RiD has little continuation ties to TFP, as far as I can tell as long as they don't outright contradict it they can do whatever they want. And they don't need a reason to give him new body, changing bodies is fairly normal even in more serious parts of the franchise and RiD really doesn't need any better reason than just because. And as far as explaining his survival goes I don't think it matters, there definitely wont be any interesting story behind it, at most there will be a short comment or unfunny joke about it.

You can't just shrug everything off as "it's what sells" when you have no proof that it does, it's more like Hasbro just throws shit out there to see what sticks...and by that logic nothing does because they change up the tone of TF every single series, they don't do things because they know what's going to sell, they have no clue what's going to sell, they do it because they want to cover all bases....small kids, older kids, adult fans....they have no clue what is guaranteed to sell they just try to switch things up enough to get all the ground covered, if they knew what was guaranteed to sell there wouldn't be such drastic changes with each show because they'd just have a formula down pat like DBZ or some crap

I like Prime, but this new design is much better in my opinion. It keeps the good features from Prime, and boosts it with a better set of colors and a more intimidating presence.

Give it time. RiD is going with the G1 look. They might cycle back to a slim Starscream in the future.

Problem with some instances of TF bots for me is that their... individual frames all look similarly blocky. The reason why it took me so long to look into TF was that the silhouettes (and sometimes faces) are so damn similar that it comes out looking bland and uninteresting for me. I started with TFP because my first impression on googling it was that the designs were all diverse and interesting to me.

What's kept from Prime? All I see is G1 updated.

That's rather unlikely, given that RiD is marketed for younger kids, and the current designs are informed by the fact that slim and thin things get broken far to easy by them.

It helped that the first movie was made knee-deep in the height of American automobile excess; so even regular Autobots like Ironhide turned into monstrously huge cars(look at Ironhide. It's not that hard to understand. The residents of Griffin Rock all agree to keep the bots identity a secret. Why would that need to be necessary knowledge in TFP? Optimus is the one who put them there with the arrangements made with the Burns family before hand.

I'm saying the government who knows about these alien robots and is super strict about keeping them under wraps wouldn't allow some island to have them running around under the pretense that everyone is just a retard from a more cartoony universe, I'm also saying that in the severe tone of Prime even if you were to say that only TOP SECRET SUPER SECRET parts of the government knew about the bots in Prime that some other groups wouldn't attempt to seek information on the RB bots in a serious manner or try and replicate them, which, even if Prime where the bots were much much much more secret....evil shadow government folk still managed to do with robots they KNEW were aliens, and I'm also saying there is no way Decepticons wouldn't target them

When TFP was airing TFG threads had a lot of people theorizing on ideas how the biology (When CNA was revealed in the show) and lore worked for fun. Also during the early days of MTMTE and RiD.

I played the DS version, which from what I understand is basically the same thing without the hidden collectables. It's one of those games where the controls and movement/attack options and music are top-notch great, but the actual gameplay and level design is boring and tedious.

If you want GOOD Transformers DS games, go for the first movie game, the WFC game, and the Animated game.

AOE in general was SUPER cheaty with what little transformations it had. The movies (and practically everything else) always cheated, but they usually kept it hidden well enough.

The worst part is, there are actual, physical toys that have to deal with child safety testing, Earthly materials, and a vastly smaller scale that could do those transformations without cheating!

(Well, Optimus's grill is switched out for another hidden somewhere else, but at least it's contained in the transformation.)
