At the very least the models should look less stiff in motion and there will be flashier effects.

I mean, the guys on V3 actually had basically no experience with choreography. There were like, one or two animators on the team left with those skills. But some of them actually seemed to enjoy it, so hopefully some practice and better tools will mean they can actually do shit.

Thats why I have some faith that the fighting will have improved from V3, I think I remember someone mentioning they brought a guy in to help with the fighting choreography, which I look forward to seeing.

My main judgement will fall to how the hand to hand combat goes, fights with Grimm are always fun and flashy, but I hope the hand to hand combat will be a bit more grounded.

I hope they can get Yang right again. Her trailer fight scene is still her best one imo. It's getting a bit too much for me.

Of course it might take the whole volume to get her into a fight, but I really do hope they do her fighting style justice.

However, I'm getting too fucking hyped over a stupid god damn teaser, that's really just going to be a cleaner crisper version of something I've already seen, and I have to say, I'm even more confident we're going to see the biggest jump in quality of animation yet.

Chibi is better animated than all three volumes. Sure the style sucks, but the animation itself is the strongest out of anything RWBY, Monty fight scenes excluded.

One nice little detail I noticed was when Ruby was walking out onto that outcropping at the beginning. The ground cracks and raises up towards the end and she actually steps up onto it. They could've just ignored that and her keep walking level but it was a nice touch.

Their jackets with longass tails feel very Bloodborne like. Also, RWBY has the whole 'it's also a gun' like how Bloodborne has 'every weapon is another kind of weapon' too thing going on. Then there is the grimm = beast thing.

I think it just feels like a waste because not only is there basically nothing stopping her the fights are just a formality as are JNR which sucks because I kind of wanted to see how the would gell with each other. Plus I imagine her development is probably gonna be handled off screen too.

Ruby has always kind of had this problem of being very flat as a character and an absolute monster at combat, so there wasnt really a chance to see her grow.

As for the JNR thing. I was just hoping for new designs. There my favorites out of the bunch because of all the ways there characters can go compared to RWBY (Well outside of probably death considering M&K tend to not be the best of writers") Also no beard for Jaune....
