>Warren Ellis will return to DC, to work on some of the characters that made him a household name among comic book fans, as the curator of a new "pop-up" imprint called WildStorm, ComicBook.com has learned exclusively.
>Following on the heels of the success of Gerard Way's Young Animal imprint, WildStorm will take a similar approach, with Ellis writing the "main" book and curating the others.
>WildStorm will debut mid-February 2017 with a regular monthly comic titled The Wild Storm, written by Ellis with art by Jon Davis-Hunt (Vertigo’s Clean Room). This ongoing series will reset the known WildStorm universe and introduce new iterations of WildStorm characters such as Grifter, Voodoo, The Engineer, Jenny Sparks and others.
>"After long reflection, I couldn't turn down the invitation to renovate the house that Jim Lee built, and refit its unique combination of cosmic paranoia and paramilitary conspiracy for the post-political space madness of the twenty-teens,” said Ellis. “Looking back to look forward."
>THE WILD STORM will serve as a launching pad for several future series: Michael Cray, WildC.A.T.S. and Zealot. No creative team announcements have yet been made for those books.
>“There are precious few visionaries in our business and fewer still like Warren who can elevate mythos with both stylistic panache and idiosyncratic spectacle. His work at WildStorm remains the tone which best defines and reflects the WildStorm Universe,” said DC Publisher Jim Lee. “I know I speak for WildStorm fans the world over when I say I can’t wait to see what Warren and Jon have in store for fans in February!”
Remember when DC tried to fold Wildstorm and Vertigo into the mainline DCU? Good times.

They still are. Midnighter and Apollo are in the man DCU. I bet this'll be like Young Animals were its mainline DCU but neither will reference each other much. Like early Swamp Thing having MMH showing up that one time

Brandon Evans
So, like, what's the appeal of WildStorm?
I'm genuinely curious.

All these basic designs make me think they are trying to make this for a tv show or something
Parker Nelson
I just hope he sticks with this one longer than he did NewUniversal. You'd think DC would require writers to use dropbox or some shit.
Thomas Mitchell
Sometimes I hate art
Jack Hall
>Hawkman and Deathstroke fighting Pike >Helspont being Superman's big bad >Stormwatch having J'onn for some reason I did like Grifter during Futures End a lot, though. Guns, babes and superpowers?
Luke Cruz
SciFi Superheros with big action, cool concepts and pretty unique characters (that used 90s designs but hey). Also creators could test out new things (The Authority, Planetary)
Nathan Williams
>DC To Revive WildStorm Imprint, >Curated By Warren Ellis
Joseph Fisher
Welcome to the Zone, STALKER. Angriest private detective in the world. Predatorformer?
Christian Miller
I like Ellis but none of this looks or sounds interesting yet.
Henry Cox
Pretty much, yeah. DC realized the Wildstorm characters didn't fit their mainline universe.
Nathan Taylor
Young Animal is the Vertigo Rebirth - where it's a mature imprint that uses niche DC properties in ways that hover on the edge of cannon. Vertigo itself is going to be their straight creator owned material.
Dominic Wright
Middy/Apollo are DCU property baby. Thanks Orlando (unironicaly).
Charles Turner
FUCK YEAH BASED DC SAVING COMICS
Ayden Cox
That was Marvel, not DC.
Gavin Morgan
I hope Graymiotti writes Majestic again.
Sebastian Turner
>Vertigo itself is going to be their straight creator owned material no one reads or cares about FTFY
Levi Russell
Edgy, over the top, husbados and waifus fighting cosmic threats and overthrowing governments.
Josiah Sanchez
I think its for the better. They need to launch a paralell Hellblazer for Vertigo though..The imprint just needs John
Charles Brown
So, just like any other creator owned publisher?
Nolan Watson
>no Gen13/DV8 so far (though one of them is in another book already)
Daniel Bailey
Should be like Young Animal where it's part of DC but it exists on the fringe and they largely interact with their own set. They'd probably get Midnighter and Apollo to show up every now and then, since those two have managed to make the jump to mainline DC.
Ethan Carter
Never read Wildstorm Except for planetary Is it any good
Levi Hill
Books they should reprint: 21 Down Albion Majestic The Resistance Twilight Experiment Claw the Unconquered
William Lopez
I hope the Planetary characters show up again.
The whole JSA situation in Rebirth is right up their alley.
Ryder Williams
So Ellis won't be writing for Marvel since he has his own imprint now?
Isaac Fisher
Yes.
Logan Rodriguez
Awww shit dreams do come true.
Asher Gray
That won't make Ellis any more reliable.
Julian Thomas
>Following on the heels of the success of Gerard Way's Young Animal imprint
Its only been one issue?
Levi Peterson
Then what's the problem? You have your capefag fix, capefag.
DC has editors.
Jackson Roberts
I knew there was a reason I had the sudden urge to pull my Wild C.A.T.S. #1-4 issues out of storage this weekend.
Justin Lewis
The thing is Vertigo was a pretty big deal for a long time but then they got greedy
Robert Sullivan
What else do you have in storage, user?
Lincoln Barnes
You can count on them reprinting more Jim Lee books, like they did with Deathblow and Divine Right.
>still assblasted Go back to Imagay then.
Joseph King
Say that to TWD and Saga.
Henry Hughes
Also his more obscure C-23.
Nathan Martin
>Imagay The only one who sounds butthurt is you, friendo.
John Collins
>You can count on them reprinting more Jim Lee books, like they did with Deathblow and Divine Right. They need to release Moore's run digitally, reprint that and Casey's stuff.
William James
>he likes TWD and Saga
Noah Thompson
I'm wondering what Majestic will be like as envisioned by Ellis.
Christopher Bailey
For 90s stuff? I think the first dozen issues of Spawn, some Maxx. I also pulled out the first Stormwatch and Deathblow issues due to the urge, so I guess I felt the Wildstorm announcement coming.
Charles Ortiz
I'm getting old.
Cameron Allen
Imagine 90s Marvel, but well written and interesting.
Justin Lewis
Where were you when DC decided to bring out the nostalgia? I was Sat at home when Lee called and said "Wildstorm is a go" "Yes"
Julian Parker
>Ellis It will be crap.
Blake Sullivan
>Pulling out old issues to check them out again and have fun is being assblasted.
Juan Scott
Shame, I loved the W.I.L.D.CATS / X-Men crossover
Cooper Sanchez
I'm not saying I like them, casual, I'm saying they're actually successful creator owned books, unlike the stuff Vertigo churns out these days. But I take it reading comprehension isn't your forte, eh?
Isaac Torres
So dc fix their relationship, with Isabella, Ellis, and Priest. This one is kinda hard.
Matthew Cruz
Any of them worth anything or? kek You shut your whore mouth
Christopher Sullivan
Hah, kinda. I mean, you pull out WildCATs and we'll get them soon. Find some of rare jewels and Rebirth them, user.
Nolan Martinez
I was talking to the Vertigo hater, user.
>I'm not saying I like cock, but I like cock OK.

Joseph Morales

Luke Butler
>>I'm not saying I like cock, but I like cock >OK. Oh, so you're just shitposting. Alright then.
Connor Perez
Don't forget Rucka. They also need to rebuild a bridge with Waid.
Easton Sanders
Moore just wants nothing to do with his past works anymore, it's got nothing to do with his relationship with DC.
Joshua Russell
Gimmie that Gen 13 Ellis, spiced up with DV8.
Mason Adams
Sure why not.
Elijah Myers
>Young Animal >Hanna Barbera >wildstorm >vertigo So there's gonna be like 10-12 non DCU books?
Kayden Phillips
>Any of them worth anything or? If I get some signed and appraised, sure I suppose. Most 90s comics are worthless.
Justin Walker
It's been a pleasure laughing at you, casual.
Christopher Flores

Gods and Monsters is so underrated I'd rather just have DV8 alone.
Dylan Rivera

Joshua Nelson
Johns had dinner with Waid a couple of weeks ago. Only a matter of time.

Juan Fisher
Moore's long past his prime anyway, the last League book was garbage.
Bentley Gray
CLANG CLANG
Isaac Gray
It's alright user. It's not going to be as good as Morrison's run or as ambitious as Johns' post Infinite Crisis stuff.
William Brooks
He has his flaws but shitty is too far. Mediocre at worst.
Aiden Harris
wooo! his dv8 was the best
Jace Collins
Seriousness with worldly issues. Fun violence but not like Ultimatum crap.
Colton Hall
Did they ever have a bad relationship with Priest. The dude seems chill with no ill will towards anybody. It's just that he didn't want to write black characters.
Andrew Bennett
>>THE WILD STORM will serve as a launching pad for several future series: Michael Cray, WildC.A.T.S. and Zealot. >No Jack Hawksmoor You had ONE fucking job...
Brandon Phillips
Is that suppose to be Zealot?
Owen Murphy
>tfw DC is literally doing a Rebirth akin to what happened in the 80s and 90s post-Crisis This is a god tier time to be a DChad.
Nathaniel Edwards
Too bad about the artwork. Fucking Ramos, I swear.
Jack Howard
Millar also is in good terms with DiDio. He's coming in the next years to do his definitive Superman take. He's really excited to do it as he's a massive Superman nerd.
Samuel Hughes
Waid is not even worth it anymore he's been doing nothing but edgy superman ripoffs for years now.
Kevin Carter
If they don't sexualize Voodoo & Zealot (voodoo takes priority) I WILL BURN SHIT DOWN!
Angel Williams
I hope this flops.
Josiah Sanchez
And PoC Superman ripoffs.
Levi Cox
That sound you hear is /m/ fapping.
Brandon Cox
Meh, he's a big man now to do ongoings for Marvel or DC. He'll likely do some out of continuity mini. Not that it's a bad thing, but nothing worth fawning over.
Chase White
I merely feel the ripples of change in the multiverse, user. I don't cause them.
Benjamin Rivera
But it did. Manhunter being on Stormwatch was a fucking great idea.
Owen Sullivan
>edgy superman ripoffs You know why? He has been denied Superman for too long and it's become unhealthy obsession. Johns will save his friend.
Sebastian Wood
Oh shit we hyper crisis now! Quick how does Wildstorm tie into it?
>Why does Engineer look like a humanised plane Ah fuck you, you made me remember.
Robert Robinson
How do you go from this To this
Oliver Sanchez
>Waid on a book starring a teenager
William Jones
No.
Carter Peterson
Holy shit they upped the edge to 100 with grift
William Evans
Wildstorm never really interested me outside of Deathblow and Backlash, but I'll certainly give this shit a chance when it comes out
Elijah Jenkins
It's over the top mate, as it should be. I see nothing wrong with it.
Isaac Rogers
Aw shit, fuckers!
Lucas Martin
That Engineer design is the only one that's not bland as all fuck.
Kevin Lopez
I would really like if he made an out of continuity sequel to Birthright, though. Just give him freedom to tell the story he wants without having him worry about whatever bullshit continuity DC has at the moment.
Oliver Adams
Yes, is Zealot.
Jackson Martin
Are they going to announce everything before the con? What the fuck are they leaving for the event?
Jace Lee
Karnak has one issue left anyways. At this point, it should just be the artist holding it up.
Colton Thomas
So Ellis is no longer Marvel exclusive? Man, they must be shitting their pants with how fast they're losing creators right now.
Eli Wood
Are they announcing everything before the Con?
Henry Reed
>Why does Engineer look like a humanised plane cause she's a fucking engineer
Brody Williams
Did he ever get confirmed exclusive? Might just be that
Adam Lopez
>Just give him freedom to tell the story he wants without having him worry about whatever bullshit continuity Sort of Mark waid being allowed to play by DC You rules? I'd be totally okay with that.
Aaron Williams
So, Seeley on Zealot?
James Davis
IT IS going to be an out of continuity mini. He is now dedicated 100% to his own work, but this is a special project he wanted to do since forever.
Camden Long
They always announce shit before the con
Connor Williams
Jim Lee and Warren Ellis will have sex right there on the stage on top of a Wildstorm logo. Then Grant will use the energies from that to open a hole to the mutliverse.
Austin Gutierrez
There's still the rest of the JLA, writer announcements for Wildstorm, and a bunch of other Wave 2 Rebirth books we don't know about
Chase Morgan
>>no Gen13/DV8 so far (though one of them is in another book already) what? who? is fairchild back?
the wildCATS stuff was always about covert ops
it's basically what warren ellis is doing with his james bond comic
Ryan Murphy
Out of continuity minis aren't really "DCYou rules". They're pretty standard.
Jordan Flores
>tfw you will never lock Moore and Morrison in a room together and not let them out until they've hashed out their differences and created a new comic for DC together
Christian Reyes
Ellis hasn't been Marvel exclusive for years. He just wasn't doing DC shit
Aiden Phillips
Is this the best period in DC's publishing history since ever I guess? DC is literally announcing Comickinos left and right. This is the best time to be a DCfag.
Xavier Bailey
Man, I really hope this means that some of their less mainline series get a chance at conclusions.
Aaron Collins
Pretty much, yeah. Though I fear DC wouldn't ever allow that because Waid is a big name and they would want him working with the big profile titles like Action or Superman.
Justin Cruz
no it's lucy blaze she's a different character
zealot is a trillion year old immortal alien swordsman
lucy blaze is the girlfriend/apprentice of john lynch (wildstorm's nick fury)
Michael Turner
didn't they announce that they were making a milestone imprint like a year ago? have they said anything new about it?
Hunter Jenkins
MOTHER FUCK! Die in a grease fire DC.
Dylan Martinez
I know, I'm mostly joking since it Engineer had nanotechnology and this one looks like she's going to go with a power suit.
Nolan Ross
I'm okay with this
Aaron Diaz
Waid should come back to save Flash family. The book has been nothing but mediocrity since he and Johns left.
John Myers
Yes, but I'm saying give him a series, like Adventures of Superman or whatever, and don't make it a mini. Keep it an ongoing. Just let Waid write different stories, set in whatever status quos they need to be set it, completely unchained to any continuity. I think we're on the same page. I'd be okay with it.
Ryan Howard
It's supposed to be a line of OGNs and Priest had an interview at SDCC where he mentioned that they're working on it. I think Hudlin's schedule is kind of the issue there.
Jacob Wilson
Seeley wants to pitch LADYTRON IN LOVE.
Luke Sullivan
No.
Blake Fisher
James Tynion and Ben Percy announced they have something coming up. And I suspect Tom King's pitch is going to be a part of that new wave.
Jaxon Perry
Looks Metal Gear solid as fuck, I love it.
Carter Ortiz
His post-IC Wally run was part of the problem. I don't want him back.
Waid just isn't good anymore. I don't see why people have trouble getting this. It would be like Jurgens.
James Perry
Like he did last time? Keep that hack away from DC
Caleb Jones
85-95 was fucking amazing. Thought they're seemingly aiming to be the best they have been in many, many years, I must admit.
Jeremiah Lopez
Milestone has been MIA for months. They were supposed to have a Static webseries and new books out by now.
Jackson Morris
Lucy Blaze is the alias Zealot used.
Lucas Stewart
Very Metal Gear
Juan Phillips
Most speculation here is that King is probably getting Legion
Carter Bell
I love Ellis, but every one of these designs are fucking atrocious.
Michael Flores
>Jenny Sparks Fuck yes. She gonna be the Spirit of the 21st century now?
Josiah Phillips
Priest said he's started talking to them about it and Hudlin is in on it but has other stuff to work on
It's a line of OGNs and minis so the priority of it is pretty low
Gabriel Wilson
Grifter has that school shooter vibe
Colton Cox
No, he pitched something of his own to DC, whch he claimed was something special to him.
Isaac Kelly
>His post-IC Wally run was part of the problem
Waid himself said several times that his comeback was sabotaged by editors.
Jeremiah Wright
With Will Smith Jr? No, thanks. That's fucking nothing then.
Chase Miller
What's Brevoort thought process currently? He can't get Ellis to write more than 6 generic action memey issues of Marvel characters and DC literally will have him overseeing a whole imprint. If I'm Brevoort I'm killing myself ASAP.
Gabriel Brown
Who among Comics Alliance writers wants to write comic?
Evan Gutierrez
Of course it was...
Adam Howard
But Khouri was a nice get for DC.
Samuel Powell
Brevoort can do nothing. Ellis loves Jim Lee
Evan Bailey
DC IS SAVED THEY CAN DO NO WRONG LOVE IS BACK
Christian Stewart
And ones that went to Marvel weren't. Why stop now?
Carter Johnson
...it wasn't
Daniel Carter
From the sound of it they "fixed" the relationship by offering him a white book.
Angel Ward
This. DC is even taking the good talent there.
Marvel really needs to revamp their scouting department.
Jonathan Brooks
This and it's probably not going to be Legion, as he implied it's something experimental and it's pretty obvious DC is going the traditional route with a Legion Rebirth.
Josiah Green
They thought they had a bad relationship with Priest because last couple of tomes they tried to contact him to write something he said "no".
Dominic Davis
...
Brandon Turner
Gotta love Priest. He doesn't want to be typecast as the black guy who writes black characters.
Asher Brown
And to think that a few years ago Marvel was getting all the talent that DC was bleeding. Funny how things change.
Julian Wilson
Marvel doesn't want good writers. They pay writers substantially less than artists. They want good art.
There was a survey done that showed that Marvel paid a lot more for art than writing, while DC did the opposite.
Justin Evans
Don't forget Hickman
Jaxon Bennett
Race traitors, amirite?
Julian Rodriguez
We haven't really seen anyone's costumes yet.
We have Grifter here but he's always worn some form of casual clothing or military attire save for his mask.
Same with Deathblow in his non-combat attire here who also basically wears military attire and a headband.
We have Zealot in casual attire here and we don't see her fighting attire.
Craven here never really had a superhero outfit.
And we have Angela in her casual attire here and her Engineer form here which is the closest we've seen for "superhero" looks.
Ryan Long
Unless you have something more specific I find that hard to believe. It's not like the problems were plots being dropped or even just the concept. The writing just wasn't good. You can do cute adventures with Wally and his kids without it being bad.
David James
I hope it's something for Young Animal.
Kayden Rogers
That's kind of the problem though, you can't rely on just taking talent from your competition. You need to be finding something on your own as well or you end up like this.
Aaron Flores
They still kind of are.
Alexander Turner
t. Nostalgiafags
Josiah Martinez
Plebbit probably thinks so.
Asher Jackson
He said he knew Barry was coming back the moment they gave him the book, his run was nothing more than a filler in DC's eyes. So he had to retain himself from ragequitting the book for the sake of his editor and just filled without having any motivation.
You can find those interviews anywhere.
Bentley Nguyen
Hey, Marvel found Leth on their own. That's gotta count for something, right?!
Elijah Diaz
>We haven't really seen anyone's costumes yet. plus this is just concept art, not final products
Luke Howard
Coming from someone that thinks Rebirth and this WS revival are "the best thing ever"? That's just hilarious.
Jaxson Davis
He wanted to do something with the Atomic Knights. That would fit Young Animal perfectly as it is a pretty obscure DC property.
Landon Lee
Sounds like the problem is entirely with Waid and not the editor.
Jacob Mitchell
That's why I said it needs to be something specific because that doesn't sound like editorial is to blame for him writing bad stories though. Usually when we talk about editorial problems it has to do with them forcing bad plots or themes. Bringing Barry back didn't mean that Wally's kids had to be obnoxious and unlikable. That's still on him.
Jacob Williams
Source on this? Sounds made up shit desu. And if it's not King on Legion than It's Hackman, praise be our setup Lord.
Benjamin Edwards
The AMA he did on Reddit a few months ago and tweets.
William Flores
He never had any problems with DC, he hasn't even worked with them or pitched them anything. What're you talking about?
Ayden Martinez
Not even fucking close. I know Cred Forums doesn't know shit but this incessant jizzing over mediocrity created by the same people that brought about the worst period in the companies history has got to stop sometime.
Cameron Sanders
unless there's some real innovation here by Ellis, i'll be skipping this. WildCATS had great runs under Moore and Casey, as well as Moore's contribution to that universe with Judgment Day. that's about it. Sleeper, too, i guess. i was really disappointed Morrison didn't continue with his run on CATS. don't much care for any of the other titles or characters.
Camden Williams
So is this power armor Engineer instead of nanotech Engineer or is she looking just more mech-like?
Brayden Bailey
Rebirth is more serviceable than post Crisis DCU of late 80s/early 90s. This will give us some great runs like that period did, other stuff will be forgotten. Now DC has experimental shit with Young Animals and those minis, hipster shit for vertigofags and WS Rebirth for 90s nostalgiafags. It's too early to say if it ends up being the best period everrrr but it certainly is the most diversified.
Asher Thompson
Wildstorm actually kept DC afloat and had some of the best writers in the business working on it (and spawning some of the best writers and artists we currently have now).
It's easy to dismiss a lot of early Wildstorm stuff as "edgy" but it was really novel at the time, they brought in a lot of new ideas and helped boost Image.
People like Jim Lee, Alan Moore, Warren Ellis made Wildstorm what it was.
Luke Anderson
>seriously responding to someone using a Cred Forums meme
Jaxon Barnes
>WildCATS had great runs under Moore and Casey, as well as Moore's contribution to that universe with Judgment Day. that's about it. thats more than 2/3rds of their comics
Ian Lopez
Yeah that said it's both experimental and mainstream. Sounds like his take on a semi popular property.
Lincoln Fisher
Read Sleeper too.
Christian Lee
Yeah. Gen13 is what Teen Titans and Gen-X should have been. DV8 was fantastic. WildCATS was a wild take on superheroes in a weirder universe. Authority is a classic. Deathblow is sort of militaresque Punisher. Backlash is sort of Deathstroke if he were a good guy and spy (even has a daughter).
Ian Fisher
>Not even fucking close.
Jaxson James
They need to make friends with Peter David too.
Jackson Jackson
This bland as shit isn't even close to the quality that DC was putting out during the late 80s/early 90s.
Bentley Williams
Immediate post-crisis was kind of iffy but it hit the sweet spot around 90-91
I still like 70-80s stuff the best though at least for the big 2
Jaxson Perry
They started reprinting his Supergirl at least
Hudson Cox
>become big name comic writer >handle gwenpool or red wolf or some shit >get paid 30 dollars a page
Nathan Ortiz
>These Fashion Model poses
disgusting
Jeremiah Harris
Other than Ostrander's stuff, few Charlton characters run, JLI most of that stuff is definition of mediocrity my friend. Take off your nostalgia goggles.
Jordan Cooper
The big names would be on the higher end of that scale, generally speaking.
Zachary Gomez
>THEY CANCELLED MY FLASH REPRINT REEEEEEEEEEEEEE >Oh it just got delayed >JAY GARRICK IS A BAD GUY IN THE FLASH SHOW REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE >Oh, it was a fake out. It's not like I work in the capeshit industry and know that death and heel turns mean nothing.
Cameron Evans
Except for Batman under O'Neil's editorial, DC weren't doing anything groundbreaking with their A-listers during that time either.
Gavin Reed
How can I have nostalgia when I started reading comics only 10 years ago?
Jace Fisher
I hope they don't waste good talent on this.
Writers: Ellis, Seeley, Tynion Artists: Merino, D'Anda, Billy Tan
Julian Anderson
Death and Return of superman was truly a work of art
Alexander Howard
So... Moore Swamp Thing, Watchmen, Morrison Animal Man and Doom Patrol, Skreemer, DeMatteis Dr. Fate, Hawkworld or Deadman Life After Death are the definition of mediocrity? Then what do you call Rebirth? Not even gonna count Vertigo.
Take off your pleb glasses.
Dylan Davis
So much so that for Rebirth they brought in the same writer to do more Superman stuff.
Ethan Watson
Oh OK so you've only read bunch of most recommended run and you think your opinion of overall quality is worth a shit.
Jaxson Ortiz
again, for every good comic back in the day we had stuff like EXTREME JUSSSSSSSTICE, so yeah the entire thing was always a few diamonds on a sea of shit
Adrian Davis
No I've marathoned a lot on my own. Just saying any nostalgia I'd have is for stuff like 52.
You're making a lot of strange assumptions.
Jonathan Watson
>most of that stuff >""""most""""
Nolan Watson
Why limit it to "back in the day"? Literally every era is like that.
Oliver Diaz
>No I've marathoned a lot on my own. So you'd know how much straight up garbage DC produced back then too.
Jason Sullivan
The good out weight the bad. And there were far more experimental titles, obscure characters betting attention and creators trying to elevate the medium. Rebirth has none of that. Rebirth is a better example of a few diamonds in a sea of shit.
Josiah Murphy
>double the variants >no triple them
Nathan Sanders
What are the odds of Milestone doubling down and becoming a pop-up imprint under DC?
And other than Milestone, what other imprints could be possible after Young Animal and Wildstorm?
William Gutierrez
Any publisher at any given moment will publish a lot of shit. There was just less then than there is now. And the really good titles back then were REALLY good.
Ethan Lopez
Yeah every era has bad stuff. I only commented on his range because I felt like the main universe stuff needed a little time to settle in and added that bronze age was generally my favorite regardless. Are you reading the posts you're replying to?
Zachary Ortiz
>Has anyone ever done a 1:1 million variant before
Caleb Thomas
>And there were far more experimental titles most who never really got anything, and the only real success they had was Animal man and swamp thing, also Young animal >The good out weight the bad Not really, Tittles like catwoman that only existed for crossovers, stuff like Extreme justice. GL was on a dire situation
Sebastian Evans
Look at you, you can barely name a few titles that were even bad... What's next casual, you gonna count Jared Fate as bad? Meanwhile Rebirth is the very definition of mediocrity. And Young Animal? Shit's barely even out and you're already calling it a success? Only DP #1 is out, how can you vouche for the quality of the other three?
Charles Morales
>The good out weight the bad. Literally any era. Even new 52 or post Infinite Crisis or DCYou. >And there were far more experimental titles, obscure characters betting attention and creators trying to elevate the medium. DC has literally 3 lines dedicated to this now, Hannah Barbera, Young Animals and Vertigo. >Rebirth has none of that. Rebirth is a better example of a few diamonds in a sea of shit. We're not just talking mainline DC friend, broaden your horizons.
Leo Jenkins
Hanna Barbers is a cute idea but not very experimental. Vertigo is just creator owned stuff nowadays and YA barely started. Do you really think these three imprints can compete with classic Vertigo alone? And then there's the titles I mentioned that are main line DC.
Thomas Sanchez
>DC is only rebirth I'm not even liking the current rebirth, but you're comparing an entire era to what, six months of mainstream rebirth and one issue of YA and a few HB.
Leo Hughes
So I guess Clean Room is ending. The only Vertigo comic I'm reading. And what we get in return is more shit-tier Wildstorm from Ellis, the guy who kicked off the Millar age of edgelord capes. Fuck it, I'm done
Ayden Rodriguez
I didn't, follow the replies, he's the one that makes the comparison in the first place and thinks Rebirth is better.
Justin Campbell
>not very experimental. Objectively wrong. It's quite experimental, almost too experimental for the majority. And also I can't say about other anons but DC's output currently the most diversified it has been, certainly more varied than that era. How good it all ends up being, we'll know in due time.
Chase Harris
The bad far outweighed the good in New 52, you have no idea what you are talking about. And DC putting out Hanna Barbera comics is nothing new either.
Elijah Nguyen
You're objectively wrong.
Logan Gonzalez
Actually pick a random year from the 90s and compare it to the current output and tell me there's more diversity now. I'll wait.
Owen Cooper
New 52>Rebirth.
Jose Morales
>The only Vertigo comic I'm reading. You're not even reading best Vertigo. >the guy who kicked off the Millar age of edgelord capes. Blame Marlel and Millar for taking it as face value.
Dominic Watson
New 52=Rebirth
Kevin Robinson
Khouri was and is an editor.
Chris Sims and Kate Leth where and are writers.
You can see why not even Khouri is sticking his neck out to get those clowns hired.
Ethan Turner

Owen Phillips
Seriously, how incompetent do you have to be not to give this guy an ongoing? He has so much more potential than these other shitters.
