yup, the trick having man copies of the original photo in layers. I usually have the original on the bottom, 1-3 layers with various halftones patterns sent to various blending modes, then a final layer on top that is the original photo with Pin Light blending mode
the trick is blending modes, play with those and you'll make all kinds of cool shit!

just all the halftone crap I meantioned before, to get the lines you do a glowing edges, select colour, (black), cut the black. Now you have a bunch of outlines. Set that layer of outlines to linear burn blend mode, and throw on a colour overlay (black) in the layer options

Do you know why is it that when I open it in Firefox, or upload in into sli.mg or imgur, it shows totally different colors in the header, as the contrast were pushed to the limits? The green turns to banana-green then. But if I open it with an image viewer, with Adobe in PDF, or simply in Photoshop, it shows the real colors.
