They target hire exclusively minorities + women, most white men that get in start in the reserves and already have shit tons of experience. If there was any sort of war tomorrow our military is not combat ready, we have basically one task force (JTF2) that is worth anything. Our military is also poorly equipped and basically survives on its historical image. When my French Canadian grandfather came down during WW2 looking for work or my Irish ancestors got off a boat in New York, they didn't step off into a land ready to coddle them and hand them benefits just for being poor, illiterate, beggars.
