Mexican citizens can own guns and do have a second amendment but weapons are heavily regulated and the type of weapon you can own is heavily restricted. Also self defense laws are a fucking joke.

That being said, if you have money Mexico can be pretty comfy. I lived there for a year and it isn't that bad. Things are cheap, women are hot, and the food is great. Add to the fact that where I lived drugs were decriminalized and it was pretty cool.

As long as you have a house with a big fence and an even bigger dog you'll be fine from criminals for the most part but I'd still like a gun. If they ever change their gun laws to be more like the US and change self defense laws I'd move back.
